2013/14: Game 27 - SBU vs Maryland-Baltimore Country - AE.TV

Only four games left till the end of the season. WOW. March is
around the corner. SBU has to get its act together. Lets not
drop a single game from here till the end! UMBC up next at the
Pritchard. As usual, game is up on AE.TV.
Hoping for a big Seawolves victory. Lets go Wolves!!!
Predictions?

SB is on the verge of having another at least 12 or 13 win
conference slate and a 20 win season and it feels ho hum. I
think we all can agree that the team has taken a step back from
what we are used to, but if we can pull off 20 wins and a second
or first place finish in a down year we are in a good place.
What we need is that player (Tommy Brenton, Bryan Douhger) who
exudes passion and hard work that we can throw our support to.
Warney and Puriefoy are the guys but I think they defer to the
seniors. This is not a bad thing but I think the following two
years will be a lot more fun. Coley, Jackson, and McAlister
have been great program guys but they don't have that "it"
quality that really gets you juiced up for SB basketball.
If we win two more games and get to the Vermont and Albany games
with chances to finish first then I think the excitement will be
back. UMBC can be dangerous but I think they are one of the
teams that we match up with very favorably. We beat them good
on Martin Luther King Day in Maryland. We have only played once
in the past 10 or so days so we should be real ready to go.
This one should be decisive.

Very true.
I think the team could easily win the AE tournament, but their
play of late hasn't given us any reason to be confident. Anyway
I'm kind of just waiting for the two games you mention and the
tournament. Maybe I'm not as a good of a fan as i used to be

We should win on Wednesday hands down with everything on the
line and being home-but knowing our team I see us winning by
8-10 points. Next week is the test Vermont and Albany. I 'm not
holding my breath for the AE Tournament -if lucky we get to the
final against Vermont. We could very well have a good season of
20 plus wins but no NCAA or NIT.

I think hype has a lot to do with it. There is no longer hype
around the SBU program. WE need to bring that back. Pretty much
of all of us are dormant right now. We are opening up a new 4k
Arena next year. WE need to hype things up if we want people to
show up! lol
Things are not the best they can be, but we are in a great
situation right now. We are a game behind first place with great
players on the squad. Some leadership in the court would greatly
be appreciated.
Its mid february, time to start listening to the Sports Section
and WUSB.FM once again. I haven't done that lately, and it seems
like some of you also need that radio hour of Seawolves
athletics to bring the excitement back. Lets go BROOK!!!!!!

the commentary just said this is the second to last game at the
Prit- and i somehow knew this but somehow forgot- and i admit it
made me sad.
go and read that again- not playing in the Prit anymore actually
makes me sad. imagine saying that a few years ago!

Solid grit it out basketball. Lots of play inside = lots of
fouls early on UMBC. We controlled this game beautifully. Let's
do it again!
