was nice to see pretty much everyone get some run...
Harris played 3 quarters at close D...Feeney didn't look hurt
but who knows. Harris was active though.
Ellis got some good run in the 4th...kid is so fast and plays
with a ton of engery...could be next to Rock at SSDM next year
Zach Smith was 2/2 on face offs
Was hoping Johnstone went in earlier but coach put him in with 2
minutes left...made one nice save and did a Brent Queener
clear...what's up with Shaughnessy?
Also, Chris saw the Sachem coach after the game...he mentioned
Tyler Andreassi is red-shirting with a hip injury...his HS
football coach ran him into the ground

If Curry continues to play the wing on F/O's he is going to get
a ton of GB's because half the time Rowe just lays it out there
for the pole.

yes and some faceoffs rowe has that ability to push forward and
create the break. there are a lot of solid faceoff mids that
can eclipse 50% and yet still not create the break.
i noted earlier that we did push the ball on breaks last night-
reminded me of 2010- and i like it. except the poles taking
shots, not a big fan of that. maybe if it was the right
shooter- like a waldeck- or completely uncontested from 7 yards
out. the reason i wrote that was because we had a pole fast
break right after a goal; if we couldve pulled it out, and
killed 2min, you make them pay. make the play defense the way
marist made us play defense- and lose.

The attack was great ( Rooney,Brody, Shultz, Sichenzia ) I too
am a big fan of Sichenzia. Curry is looking more and more like
a difference maker. I guess he makes it look easy but nobody
mentioned Rodgers who is the real deal. I think Harris earned a
starters role, he is more athletic, physical, and has a better
stick than Feeney. Saw some good things from some of the
freshman, Corpolongo, and Ellis. Rowe is a stud. And hopefully
Mike Andreassi is back soon his brother Tyler is still
recovering from hip surgery last spring and is redshirting.

its interesting to see how this team parallels with the 2009
team. rowe/rand, rodgers/crowley, easty/mcbride,
sichenzia/compitello, schultz/belton, hughes/campbell,
andreassi/trenkle. now we just need a waldeck and paar!

I couldn't agree more...hopefully Curry can turn into Waldeck
and maybe Shaugnessy/Johnstone becomes Parr. Also, Rowe seems
much more athletic than Rand.
I did notice that Nagel went over to Shaugnessy at the end of
the game to tell him he was going to put Johnstone in. I don't
want to read too much into it but maybe Shaugnessy's time in
coming. It was almost like he didn't want to put him in during
extended garbage time.

yeah i shouldve said who will step in and become paar and
waldeck, sorry.
and sure, putting high expectations on the kids to write that,
but you have to admit there are some similarities! lets compare
scores at season end. this was the team that lost the AE final
in baltimore against BC.

Eastwood is just as good as Mc Bride imo...pretty much the same
exact player.
Rogers, who I love and will put up huge stats, but he has a long
way to go to be as a complete of the player that Crowley was.
Crowley was The King...once in a lifetime middy...Rogers will be
one of the top mids in the AE for the rest of his tenure and if
he keeps on racking up the assists I could see a possible AA nod
as a senior.
Gotta love the Canucks!!!

ok since were getting into that level of detail!
mcbride and easty- to me- are both crease attackmen, but
slightly different in that mcbride more curled out to the wing
for the 5 and 5 shot; easty is more of a classic stay in the
crease and take a beating but got a shot off. guy. and i think
he is a lefty, whereas mcbride is a right. :P
crowley did it all- GBs, man up, wing play, dodge, invert, cut,
defense, fast break, he even took some faceoffs. rodgers is
getting there. also crowley for some reason liked to shoot high
and i noticed rodgers is a bouncer. from what ive seen that is.
not that one is better than the other.
size is the same though!
