       Game 23: SBU Vs. Hartford-ESPN3

Big, Big day for the Seawolves!! It goes without saying that
they must win today. But, let's hope that Albany can do to
Vermont what they did to SBU up at SEFCU. If those two things
occur today, we have a big leg up!

A four point win against Hartford at home does not inspire
confidence. What's up with this underachieving team?

How much better than 8-1(16-7 overall) do you need them to be
before you are happy? Plenty of other teams in this conference
would love to be struggling like that.

Better than 4 point winners at home against Hartford, Seawolf80.
Better than having only one win against a winning team this
season. Being 8-1 in the AEC means little this year. There are
at least 100 other teams that would be 8-1 or 9-0 in this
conference. I'm still hoping for the best, but calling it as I
       see it.

I heard somewhere, maybe the telecast announcers, that Warney
has a hand injury and was very limited. Now I am no excuse
maker and if you read the AE boards at all know I can be very
very hard on the team, but without Warney we are not a .500
team. I was disgusted with the effort against Albany. This
game with our two best players either out or limited I am
actually pleased with getting any kind of win. Tuesday at
Binghamton is very much a toss up right now, but I'd rather drop
a game or two now and allow guys to get healthy then limp into
       the tournament banged up.

Missed the game today. Had to work. But I'm glad we won. Seems
like many are not too happy about today's performance.
Nonetheless, Im happy we won. I'll take. We went 8-1 for the
fast half of the season. Not bad at all

Listen guys. Todays game was a very hard fought game.. Hartford
was dropping 3 ball like they were going out of style.. With the
absence of Purifoy, Pikiell felt obligated to alternate Mitchel
and Resner.. I understand his thinking bur Resner is not a div1
player and Mitchel needs more time to adjust..... Purifoy told
me today he is feeling better and should be ready for the next
game.. Warney injured his wrist today in practise so he is not
100%... Lets cut these guys a break because they are doing
their best considering all the lumps and bruises they have !!!

I thought Mitchell was playing very well today relative to his
previous performances. Ben Resner also had some good ball
movement but he couldn't execute at the rim and is too prone to
       turn overs.

I think he drew 3 charges on the day. I agree, he definitely
looked more comfortable out on the court.

To be fair Resner has little game experience but is learning.
He drives to the baskets and gets fouled. I think in the last
two games he is shooting 100% from the stripe. We will get
through this injury thing. Mitchel is also getting better and I
love the energy Walker has brought to the team.
