2013/14: Game 8 - SBU vs St. Francis (Brooklyn)

Alright guys. Now that we are past thanksgiving we can go back
to focusing on Seawolves basketball!!! Upcoming return game next
Sunday against St. Francis. Should be a win!!! Lets go
Seawolves!!!

Could be close. These guys beat Miami earlier this month.
Need our guards and Mr Warney to put the lid on this one.

We should be beyond losing to teams like St. Francis at this
point. I don't care if they gave Syracuse a run...they also lost
to Coastal Carolina by 11. A bad loss.

I'm so disappointed. Stony Brook continues to be just another
mid major. wow. C'mon. St. Francis of the NEC... we should be
better than that, we ARE better than that. a tiny private school
in Brooklyn beating up on a "rising" program at the Brook... so
disapointed

EcasadoSBU..I was at the game tonight and st. Francis is a very
good team. Their defense really put a lid on Warney, McAlister
and Jackson. Not much more they could've done tonight. Warney
got into foul trouble early and had to sit out almost the entire
first half and McAlister was very limited int he first half, not
sure why... It is what it is !!

You're disappointed? Get a little bit of perspective. This is
a non-conference game against a tough NEC team. The next team
we play (Fairleigh Dickinson) beat Rutgers and Seton Hall this
year. It's basketball. Stony Brook is a mid-major in a
low-major conference. Vermont is 3-7 this year. You think
they're a 3-7 team? No, they're not. Who cares whether they're
a tiny private school or a large public. If you're
disappointed, then cheer for someone else and get off the
bandwagon

There is a lot or parity now in D 1 basketball. It doesn't
take much. Recruit two maybe three really talented players and
build a good supporting cast around them and you win a lot of
games. We have that now and have won and will win our share of
games. St Francis was the better team today and Fairleigh
Dickinson will not rollover either. We have to step our game
going into December and beyond.

I still don't understand your attitude. What bandwagon are you
talking about dude? you think the 10 stony Brooks fans here that
spend the whole day reading and sharing information are the
Stony Brook bandwagon fans... I have the right to be
disappointed on a team I care and actively root for on an
everyday basis. There is no other team I care about besides
Stony Brook and Connecticut... and yes, as I fan I would like
them to beat the St. Francis-of-the-world. We could've won this
game at home. Stony Brook should've won tonight, and on a better
day we would've won.
with that said.... time to move on to FDU next. Looking forward
to LaSalle on Saturday at MSG
