Last game of the Regular Season:
Empire Clash
Stony Brook Seawolves vs Albany Great Danes
November 23rd, 2013 @ Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium
Kickoff: 1PM

Is that time of the year my friends!!!! We have Albany back in
the schedule on a yearly basis (Yay!) and I want to crush
them!!! The regular season is coming to a close for the Brook,
but not before we face the Great Danes. The Danes have struggled
a ton in their transition year into the CAA losing to lower
competition from the NEC and not being able to get a single win
yet in their CAA schedule (1-10, 0-7). While it is unfortunate
that Bob Ford never got a victory in Bob Ford Field, I'm happy
that they suck and I just want to beat them next week. I hate
everything Albany with a passion and our Seawolves betta not let
us down. This is our chance to finish the regular season strong
with an okay 5-6 record as first year members of the CAA. It
won't be easy, Albany always plays us well. That's why we need
to get out there in numbers and show em that the Brook is no
joke!
Lets rock LaValle Stadium next Saturday. Be there early for a
pre-noon tailgate. Kickoff is at 1PM.
LETS GO SEAWOLVES! BEAT THE DANES!!!
(And no.... I don't sympathize with the "Empire Clash"... I
think it sounds cheezy... but I guess we have no choice)

after yesterday's surprising offensive output by the Wolves, I
went back and took a look at some of the stats from the last
four conference contests. one thing stood out to me, Negron lit
it up yesteday, like he had not done in the previous three
games. he found open receivers and moved the team up and down
the field. at least for the first three quarters. I'm not sure
what happened to him in the fourth quarter, he started to look
like the Negron of the recent past.
Anyway, yesterday, we ran 76 plays, of which 32 were pass plays,
not quite 50% of all the plays, but it sure seemed like Coach P
was calling a heck of a lot of pass plays. Negron completed 32
of 44 passes for 395 yards, very nice. Now compare this with
what happened over the previous three games, Negron completed
only23 of 63 passes over three games. Indeed, injuries hurt us
this year, but inconsistent QB play has hurt us even more.
Consequently, I am very optimistic about next season if we can
step up the QB play. we have several of our top receivers
coming back, same with our defense. the future should be bright
for the Wolves in the CAA

The format on the depth chart is a little screwed up this week.
But, if I'm reading it correctly, it looks like Pat D'Amato may
get a shot at QB this week.

perhaps D'Amato has been moved to WR for this final game. we
have lost a lot of our receiving corps this season.

A lot of player will be switching up position this game; we have
a lot of injuries. I think this will be an interesting game for
the players & fans.
Lyle will be the starting quarterback & Pat will play WR. They
might have some interesting plays planed.
Any time you have 2 QB on the field anything can happen.
The D line will also have some new wrinkles; looking forward to
seeing the adjustments the coaching staff will make for this
game.
We shouldn't be to tough on the players in this game; I might
have a few beverages before this game.
Football weather this Saturday; showers and the temps in high
40's... Chilly...

I heard that the AD Fiore was fired? Anyone have info on that
move, and how it might effect football going forward?
