76 plays??? 6.4 yards per play? that stands out to me. GO SB
btw Ricard credited with 17 tackles, manchild.

After watching the game I was very impressed with JMU HD video
and commentators, It felt like I was watching a SEC game on
ABC.... I was even impressed with JMU recently renovated stadium
that I did some digging and found out what they have done over
the last few years.. Their old stadium looked something like
lavelle stadium, then they expanded over the years to add more
seats ... They took it to the next level, literally. They now
have over 25,000 seats and added luxury boxes..
Take a look at this video of JMU recent construction of their
stadium... I would love to see SB do this one day. Hey, you
never know!!!!. Also look at how the lower half of their stadium
resembles Lavelle and how we could easily go up on the home side
and continue wrapping the seats around to the fans section to
make a horse shoe ring !!!

hammer good find... this is what we hvae to look at, we should
compare ourselves to our conference rivals, who are our
       competitors.

I had a long convo with the asst. AD Embrick at the NH gm and
at this point they are not in favor of any expansion until there
is a demand for tickets. They don't want to see half filled
seats or an empty looking stadium. He stated that they are very
happy with the attendance at the beginning of the season
including homecoming ( He said they sold over 12,000 tickets but
due to fire marshal restrictions they could only announce 11,000
). Although sales and attendance are up he stated that they
don't see the need at this point to expand. There main target is
to keep getting the LI families to attend. They were not to
concerned with the students at this point cause they feel that
their larger audience exists with the families. Also interesting
note was due too a lot of trouble at the 2012 homecoming by the
students ( fights etc ) that the school almost did away with
tailgaiting. He said that they fought hard to keep it and that
they want it to be a family friendly exp. So like I suspected
the students got shut down a bit by campus police. He also said
what they want to happen is to do like Albany does with the bowl
end zone and make that a grass burm so you can sit there during
the game. That little change could increase capacity by 1,000 or
so with a really small cost. One last thing they might have to
start selling parking passes in the main lot for next year so if
you have season tix you would get 1st dibs for a small fee, and
everyone else would have to buy them gm by gm. Again all aimed
at families wich I think is the right way to go.

Fair enough Chrissy. I think that is the best path to go. I
think we are better off building the brand first, creating the
demand, prior to actually trying to expand. Its not going to be
easy, but I think it has been giving good results the past
couple of years. Just gotta keep winning on the field and
continue to build the Rivalry with Albany so that we can have
two/three highly attended games per season

WOW.. I did not know SB had a student fighting issue at the
Football games. I haven't seen any fights in the parking lots
when tailgating, but its possible... Is that why the fan section
at the last home game was virtually non existent ???
Interesting.... I like the idea of paying for a parking pass in
the lot.. This is common practise in the larger schools and it
works great ... My brother pays $ 100 per game, per lot to
tailgate at Clemson and $ 100 is consider cheap not to mention,
his tailgating lot is a country mile away from the stadium....
Lots closer to the stadium sell for thousands of dollars per
game!!!!! I do agree with the notion that if fans aren't
filling up the stadium then there is no reason for expansion ..
Hopefully, SB can put that money away that was allocated for an
expansion a couple of years ago so WHEN we do start filling up
seats, we will be fully funded for more seats ... PLEASE, DON'T
DO AWAY WITH TAILGATING IN THE LOT, THAT WOULD COMPLETELY
DESTROY ALL HOPES OF FILLING UP THE STADIUM !!!!!

tailgating has to stay- they have to find a way to do it and
remove the violence- like they did this year and so many other
years. if you take that away, you are literally enticing the
students NOT to go to the game. besides, even more students
sans-ticket go to the tailgate, so youre creating an even bigger
atmosphere and getting more of the SB community involved. no
one knows the #s but with tailgating we may have had 15k people
out for that day. compare that to 1998, how many would be in
       the stands plus tailgating. 400?

I suggest that the remedy to poor student behavior is to
increase the presence of campus security during the tailgating.
I have been to many pro football games and a strong security
presence tends to keep a lid on extracurricular activities. That
costs some extra money, but if the result is that you get to
keep tailgating and increase the fan experience, and overall
       attendance, then it's worth it.

Let's not go overboard with tailgate fees; you will turn family
w kids away. I agree it would be nice to offer the season ticket
holders prime parking for a fee.
Having the students participate is everything good about college
football; the program needs to get the students more involved in
       the game. I look over at the student section and it is empty;
       were is the school spirit.
I do agree the increase security would be nice; I was really
impress with how security handled situations in the tailgating
       area.
A lot of the university have wrist bans for people who wish to
tailgate; they must show that they are of legal age to drink in
a designated tailgating area. The cost of this section was $5.00
dollars. They also offer additional tailgating were no drinking
       is allowed.
I travel 3 to 4 hours for every home game; tailgating is
everything good with football. We all need to me more
responsible of personnel actions while drinking..
I see ya Saturday.... MD bound to NY
