im watching on fox sports pacific- yes, quality is poor and its
clearly not the best crew and commentary. thats ok, im happy,
watching SB on tv.
otherwise, defense is hanging in there, we are having trouble
cover the bootlegs and the flats. their lines are bigger than
ours i think, or at least better. negron doesnt have too much
time to throw. not sure that tye is right for the return.
maine is good. but we knew that.

our pass blocking is getting burned big time. Negron has no
chance to look for secondary receivers. I don't get it. Doakes
is huge, but cant stop pass rush

yeah i have noticed in this second half that the line is opening
up right in the A gaps. and the backs are hitting the hole.

im not one to criticize a coaching staff for play calls- because
what do i know- but really, its frustrating watching teams wtih
time on the clock routinely go for the 40 yard bomb on a 3rd and
2. its pitiful. am i the only one that sees this? especially
today on a 3rd and 4 in four down territory. can that really be
a good play call?
otherwise, the positive is that an injury laden and underdogged
SB team went into Orono and put up a good fight.

No Chairman. You're not the only one who sees that.. Play
calling buy our Offensive has been terrible this season. Todays
game was another example of what I've been seeing all season.
This game was a win as far as the players are concerned... kudos
to our offensive and defensive line. Why, once again is Will
Tye on special teams looking to run the ball out of the end
zone????? Please, someone who has some inside information fill
me in on that!! We can't use one of our speedy RB to fill in for
Poteat ??? Chuck Priore must have chewed the O line a new but
because they came out of the half as if they wanted to win
today...

That was Williams on that KR from the end zone, but I agree Tye
should not be returning punts. At this point you have to give
some other guy's a look. I'm not saying to pull redshirts but
guy's on the active roster. WR Nick Wagner was an all state
player from John Glenn, maybe have him return punts, it was that
kind of versatility that got him to SB. At this point it's time
to see what D' Amato has. It looked like Eugene was hurt I
didn't see him the last 2 series. Kenner was impressive again
and the D-line was stout. The good news is that you can see that
we are not over our heads in the CAA, should have beaten a
couple of these top teams. Hopefully we get some new looks at
certain spots. And I don't question play calls but the 3rd and 4
was terrible. You had 2 plays to get 4 yds. Very frustrating to
say the least. I think it's more frustrating to lose these games
than if they were blown out.
