We were outplayed and out coached tonight. Their receivers were
wide open especially # 81. Had several big gains against our
backs who were way off the ball. We don't have a running period
this year. Fredericks looks good and he is big on the Coker
style that's a plus for the future. Graduation and injuries
really set us back but no excuses for arm tackles, missed
blocks and ugly interceptions. Maine next week will be a
nightmare.

Defense got worn down, that's my read on things. Coaching staff
really needs to do some soul searching. Against CAA teams, our
run game is not going to dominate like it did in Big South. We
have to mix it up. First drive stalls out on 3 yard line due to
no gain runs. Fourth qtr, we ran the ball twice trying to get
two yards and failed. NH solved our running game schemes after
first drive and we kept doing the same thing. Negron did not
run ball once today. Our O is too predictable, and without
Coker, we don't have the RBs to dominate on the ground

the beginning of the game looked promising, large holes being
opened up, yards on the ground, steady drive. that quickly
turned on us. we were still able though to hang around- with
all the turnovers- until late in the game.

I said it before Ill say it again. It all comes down to play
calling from our coaches.. Mostly from our Offensive Coordinator
..Like BFF said. Our O is predictable. Will Tye was only thrown
too 2 times, why ? Negron doesn't run the ball anymore why?? Is
he really hurt if so Put in Pat Damatto, Give the RS freshman a
chance to shine. Negron numbers were the disgusting. 9 pass
completions, really ???? Is he our only option and we don't have
a another valuable Q to backup Negron? I don't know but if thats
the case then the coaches really messed up in the off season not
recruiting a decent Q to backup Negron.
In the beginning of the season, after the Buffalo game, I
thought we had a huge problem with our Field goal kicking but
the coaches adjusted and are only using Farra for PK and that is
working out great. But now we have a bigger problem and it's
with our starting Q.. Is SB out of options with that? I guess we
will find out only after the season ends ..
I know some people on this board totally disagree with me about
my assessment of this years team and laid it out on the table...
Now debate me on it !!!!!

something needs to be adjusted with our short yardage offense.
this is at least the second game where we get well into the red
zone, maybe inside the 5, and we cant punch it in, and instead
have to settle for a FG. same thing with the series in the 4th
qtr when we could not get two yards, on two tries, to keep a
drive going. Kenner and Fredericks rushed well, but it turned
out to be an unremarkable accomplishment. if you take the
rushing yards from the first drive away from the game totals,
I'll bet you'd see that the run game did very little over the
remaining 3+ quarters. I'm not going to bash on Negron, he was
in some tough spots all day long, a pretty good pass rush from
NH, so I'd like to see him run the ball a bit on those bootlegs,
seemed like that was wide open if we would have run that to the
wide side of the field a couple of times. On to Maine. lets
have a good week of practice boys. this is a tough league, top
to bottom, but I am convinced we will get the ship going in the
right direction.

What would you like to debate Hammer the fact that most of your
post's are negative. You can hear the disgust everytime you put
one up. I have stated several times that a change in QB is
needed. Priore stated again in today's paper that Negron is
still not 100%, witch is more reason to go with someone else.
Missing open field tackles is not a coaching error. The defense
was put in some bad field position situation's and after a while
it cracked. Whatever plan they had going into the season was
largely hampered by all the injuries. Again you lose your 2
starting corners, rb, and Bamiro, your gonna have problems and
flaws in your gm. Everyone can sit here and think that they
could do better but the fact of the matter is you can't. This
season is what it is, an injury riddled season with
inexperienced guy's being put to the test. So instead of bashing
everything why not try to look down the road and realize that
sometimes things like this happen and the program will be better
of for it next year. It's called growing pains. If you look at
NH they are not filled with Div 1 transfers, they are made up of
very good northeast football players. That has to be your core.
Yes we still have a few playmakers and I would like to see them
get more touches. Yes they need to clean up some areas, we all
see it. So I just don't know what you are so angry about. Again
I could put up most of your post's and they are usually the same
thing, all negative. It's either the coaching staff needs to go
or this guy can't play, or we are not good enough to play CAA
football, or we need all transfers. I am just not sure anymore
what it is that you do like about SB football. Maybe they should
get rid of every player and coach and then they could stack the
team with all Div 1 rejects, coaches and all. You wanna call me
out go ahead I have no problem calling you out. Oh let's not
forget how you lost your cookies over the kicker after the
Buffalo gm, that was real positive.

Chrissy.. I appreciate your quick response and always enjoy
reading your posts. I am a fan of SB Athletics and have the same
right to criticize and applaud my teams just like everyone
else.. You appear to take my criticisms to heart. Maybe you have
family tied to SB Football, I don't know but you shouldn't take
any of my post personally just like I don't take yours or anyone
else posts personally... With that said, lets continue with
friendly posts and not attack each other.. Coach Priore quote
form todays Newsday... "Negron has been battling an injury to
his throwing shoulder. "I'm sure he won't make any excuses, but
he's not 100 percent," Priore said. "It is what it is, and we're
going to play with him because he's a competitor and a winner."
Why would the coach continue to stay with Negron if he is hurt
and putting the entire team in jeopardy...... I have a Huge
issue with that.. WHY ARE THEY GOING TO STAY WITH HIM EVEN
THOUGH HE IS SHOWING HIS INABILITY TO BE A GOOD Q ??? As far
Farria missing 70% of his field goals and extra point.. YEA, You
better believe I was pissed with that, I am sure Faria is to
because he's better then that. wouldn't you be ??? But SB
corrected that problem and i applaud them for that... Why aren't
our coaches using Florida state transfer Will Tye more often. He
has proven to be a top TE in the FCS again, an Offensive coach
call.. I love our RB , I love our WR, I love our TE, I love our
DL, I love our LB, I love out CB.. I AM NOT BASHING THE ENTIRE
TEAM AS YOU STATED.. We had some miss tackle yesterday, so what,
that happens in every game on every team. I don't have an issue
with that. As a matter of fact, with all the injures on DL think
this years D is the best SB has ever seen.... My problem this
year is mainly with our coaches NOT our players. SB really needs
to adjust their style of ball otherwise we will have a tough
time competing in the the CAA... DO YOU KNOW WHAT CHRISSY !!! I
know they will adjust and come back stronger next year.. I'
am tough on our Football team and I know but thats just my MO
and because of that I was very successful in what I did for a
living in life ....I've always been a tough cookie, Don't take
it to heart !!!!!!!!!!!!

here's a change of gears, how about the internet video quality?
not very good, not very good at all. at least the camera guy
was doing his job, and focusing on the game, and not on the band
or the fans. but really, if a school like Colgate can pull off
excellent internet video, FOR FREE, they why cant SB do the same
type of quality? maybe next year? its especially frustrating
when those of us have PAY for this coverage, and the quality is
not very good. Do any of you know people in the Athletic Dept
that you can talk to and at least let us on the Forum know what
is going on?? thanks is advance. hopefully Maine has good
internet video next weekend.

building you a house and all the doors don't close properly.
LOL.... Definitely try calling someone over there and vent !!!!!
