First off taigait was great, attendance was even better. I got
to watch my brother go out for the ceremony before the game at
mid field so that for me was cool. As for you Chairman sorry you
couldn't make it but next week your on, joewillie and I will be
there and let's set something up. As far as the game goes yes it
was sloppy on the penalty side and disappointing but you have to
remember that Towson was the 2nd ranked team and they are good.
What I saw was true SB football with the double and sometimes
triple TE's, witch made a huge difference in the running gm. All
I hear is that we have to pass more and running the ball today
was not why they lost. The punt hitting our guy was a momentum
changer and those penalties killed them, but they didn't play
poorly I thought they played well. Again this team is beat up
and I don't have to mention who's out, you take guy's like that
off other teams and they wouldn't be able to compete. Kenner
really impressed me today and looks like they have found
something in him, Poteat played well too but I like Kenner's
game. As far as Priore goes he is a damn good coach with a damn
good staff. They made the adjustments that had to be made from
last week and as an underdog took Towson to the limit. Again
when you have a recipe for success you don't scrap it so you can
reinvent the wheel, you stick with what got you to the dance.
Cheeseboro left the gm and that should be a bigger concern than
how many times they passed the ball. Chairman hit me up!!!

Totally agree Chrissy. by any means not hitting the panic
button. Stony Brook has shown incredible depth... just need to
win the two ooc games and get back on track for what surely will
be a competitive game against UNH. Fully backing our staff. We
can pick this up, I'm sure we can. Lets go Seawolves.
Expect a soldout crowd and great atmosphere next week. Pray for
sunny skies. Will get to the Brook at about 9-10am. Catching the
second morning train to eastbound. Can't wait. i hope that the
parking lot is not over regulated, that would be a killer
----->
Sat on the student section cuz I still love it. I felt great. I
got a good vibe from the freshmen. they came out and learned the
chants. They didn't let me down. We are definitely getting to
that point in which we can regularly pack LaValle. Towson's fan
support was also respectable so that helps.

We catch that punt, we win! That was the game, right there.

I agree. That punt was the game changer and we most likely would
have won but the bigger issue now is injuries, Cheeseboro on D
and thats a huge problem, I was siting right behind him when he
came out and looked to be ok. Hopefully he can play next week.
We had a chance to tie the game late in the 4th and Negron was
marching down the field nicely but, but that fell apart on a
couple of mistakes made by Negron. Thats college football for
you. It's so much easier to call the game from the stands and
being a monday morning quarterback, !!!
I must say Towson Defense is HUGE, their Nose Tackle is
something like 6-6" and 330 lb. Thats quite difficult to try and
run through..

chrissy i agree with your analysis- i think we did well in the
jumbo and i saw wide open holes in the first half. also our RBs
have speed to get around those the corner, and in those jumbo
formations, youve got a wide field on both sides so lots of room
to run.
i did think our O line did a reasonably good job against the
large towson defensive front. but they ran right up our A gap
too many times for 7-9 yards.
maybe what we need is a two-RB attack with kenner and poteat, i
dunno. Towson might be the best CAA run defense we see, and id
argue we had a good day there, at least in the first half.
the punt ruined us, same thing happened in the giants game last
week, but really, the back to back personal fouls spotted the
tigers what 40 yards? i dunno i couldnt see the video feed
crapped out....

After a big stop to open the 2nd half they lost that punt, put
them on a short field and like a good team does they
capitalized. The next def series with those back to back
penalties wasn't a back breaker cause we held to a long FG, but
you could see the momentum turning. Still with the 1pt lead in
the fourth was when Cheeseboro went out and I think it was 2
plays later they broke the big TD run. Would hope to think that
Cheese makes a difference on that play cause he might be our
best open field tackler. I could see him on the table on the
sideline but could not see what he was favoring. Hopefully maybe
rolled an ankle and it wasn't a knee.

Chrissy. The medical staff was working on his right quad but
only for a minute or two then they left and cheeseboro was just
sitting on the medical table with his head down in discuss
.
It did not appear to me he was seriously hurt but then again,
what do I know !!!

I don't want to throw cold water on the season but our
remaining CAA schedule is tough and Bryant and Colgate are not
cupcakes. With our growing injury list we could be looking at a
4-7 or 5-6 year. Our wide outs kept us the game last night.
Eugene has great hands and was in the game mentally all night .
He kept cheering on the fans from the sidelines. Our D made some
great stops on most downs. I don't think we will face a runner
like West again this season. Now lets beat Bryant!

Colgate is 0-4 and loss to a struggling Albany team at home.
They also lost to Yale and got routed by New Hampshire. I don't
think this is the Colgate we are accustomed to talent-wise. We
should be able to compete well and pull a win with the depth we
have. Our guys played Towson well despite the result.
If we can't beat Bryant at Home on Homecoming night in front of
a potential routy sellout crowd, a NEC foe not offering full
scholarships, then our season is a wash. The next to game should
be expected victories, nothing less.
