No bragging, just recounting data. I don't know any worried UB
fans with the spread at 13 and everyone on our fan site is
picking UB. Bragging would be like pointing out we could have
made things much worse in 2011 if not for unforced errors:
Mack's showboating on the almost pick-6 and the missed 47 yd FG.
What's confounding is revisionist history such as this from the
seawolf blog tonight:
"It was a close game in everything but the final score..."
Really? With a drive chart like this?

Yeah, those bowls sure do suck: better crowds and higher ratings
than FCS playoff games, schools can turn a profit, talking heads
and betting talk about your game for weeks prior, etc.
In 2008 for UB's bowl game we sold our full allotment of 10,500
tickets, saw a week of events and build up in Toronto, earned
extra practices, had a total of ~30K UB fans out of the 40K at
the game, had 2.1M watching nationally (at the time the #2
most-watched ESPN2 bowl game ever) and it was the most-watched
broadcast on cable in the Buffalo media market over a 5 year
period. And we turned a profit. Meanwhile, certain years FCS
playoff teams will pass on hosting rounds since they'd lose
money in the end for little exposure.
No wonder exactly 0 1-AA/FBS teams have dropped down since
sub-divisions were settled in 1982.

LOL. Some people betting on this game are taking SB odds of
13.5.. I think this game will be closer then that because of our
defense

I want to keep a close eye on Arthur Dokes. Priore brought him
in to try and fill the hole left by Big Mike and so far it's not
happening. He needs to step it up and push some of those
defensive lineman back in order for Coker to run through, if
that happens and if the Defense has another stellar game then we
WIN, if not we LOOSE.. it's that simple..... I think it does
happen... Dokes was very productive playing for Piitt so he has
the experience, size and knowledge to make this happen. I'm
thinking he is playing with a chip on his shoulder due to
circumstances back at his old school. Maybe he thought it would
be a cake walk playing against cupcake teams? This game against
Buffalo should be a wake up call to get back to business and
play at your 100% !!

I have a feeling Oliver is going to run all over us again. I
dummy think we'll be able to contain him and it will be our
biggest problem unless we eliminate the play action pass.

Why is Hillbilly on our board? UB should beat us. It's not a
rivalry game. Easy for him to brag about bowl games that no one
cares about. We are actually shooting for a deep playoff run
this season

BFF. I'll tell you why he is on our board, Fear, UB fans are
afraid of the Seawolves and they should be. Buffalo reminds of
UMASS, a team that should not be in the FBS. If Buffalo was
playing in the FBS they would be considered a good team but
because they are on the FBS. MAC, they're horrible... Give Stony
Brook Football 22 more Scholarships to recruit good players then
tomorrows game would a lock for SB to win.. Fans who root for a
team who happens to be top in their conference year after year
wouldn't even give FCS fans the time of day because they know
their team will win however, in Buffalo case it's very different
and the fans are trying to convince themselves they're superior
over SB.. Tomorrow will tell.
If we lose tomorrow it's expected. We took their money and move
on back to playing our div1aa foes but if Buffalo loses they
will be the one's who would be humiliated and we come out like
the hero !!!

Lets be fair to billy. He may be the biggest UB fan out there. I
see him on every board supporting his bulls... that's fine and
all but at the end of the day the game will be played tomorrow
and all the bowl game talks and the 2011 game wont matter. Lets
see who wins round 2... I'm excited. It seems like buffalo fans
are also excited. I see tweets that they have sold over 21k
tickets. Thats awesome and should make the game even better for
everyone involved. I hope to see some sbu fans out there
Anyway, GO SEAWOLVES!

Couldn't agree more with Hammer and Big Fat Fan. SB makes the
same or more money playing FBS teams than UB would make playing
in the muffler bowl ( although BC backed out they still had to
pay the fee to SB ). I really do not understand why any good FBS
team's fans would post on a FCS site. Oh I forgot they don't. As
far as fans showing up for a now defunct Bowl gm, they did cause
there is nothing else to do in Buffalo. SB has hosted playoff
gms the last two years because they do not pass on chances to
advance the program. If I were to post on your site then you
could call me out, until then you can keep your boring stats to
yourself cause nobody here cares.
