Having been to a scrimmage in Spring and a more recent practice
my concern is the WR's more than the QB. Negron's arm has
impressed me, but I have seen a number dropped passes that
really should have been caught. I hope to be there Saturday.

Hmm, that's troubling and surprising, with Jahrie Level and Will
Tye especially. Level was a starter for the Idaho Vandals, and
Tye was a three-star recruit out of HS, #19 among all TEs
nationally and got playing time as a freshman at FSU.
I'll be there on Saturday as well, though it sounded like Priore
was more interested in giving the depth chart a workout instead
of his starters.

Don't expect much out of our first string players this saturday.
Priore will not want to chance hurting one of our star athlete
for a scrimmage that holds no value whats so ever !!!!

Maysonet survived todays cut. If he makes it through the next
cut on Thursday, then he's on the Roster...

I won't be there unfortunately- still a bit miffed that we have
a scrimmage this week when the rest of college football is
playing real games. I don't expect that we'll see much from the
first team this week.

speaking of biggest question mark- what is our strength?
Linebackers?
Running Back would have to be a strength too
and that right there is the jump we have made over the last few
years- we can lose maysonet, and STILL have our RBs be the
strength of the team.
GO SB

I think a lot of the credit belongs to AD Fiore. He's shown an
incredible (and increasingly rare) willingness to forego some
short-term successes in favor of long-term stability in both
football and basketball (plug Brenton in for Maysonet and you've
got pretty much the same story). Too often a program will sniff
an opportunity to build a very good team that is built for
immediate success, but sacrifices recruitment, the development
of younger players and unit cohesion in the process (LOOKING AT
YOU, BINGHAMTON).
Doing it the right way takes time, of course, but that's the way
it should be. The fact that Pritchard now sells out for every
game, and that LaValle has set new records for attendance nearly
every year speaks to the benefits of slowly building a culture
of success.

Just imagine the buzz this week in Seawolf-world if we were
prepping for a game against Boston College!! Instead we got a
scrimmage. We got skrewed!! More incentive than ever to kick
Nova's butt when we see them later this season.

He will most likely be getting considerable playing time on
Thursday and he MUST have a superb game !!!
