He looks a little puny.. I hope SB can pack about 20 more pounds
on his 6'2" frame !!!

Maybe a little bit small. But, those ball carriers certainly
seem to go down in a hurry when he hits them!!

that's what a redshirt year is all about, hit the SB strength
program and come out rocking the next year.

UMASS Football coach got fired and players are jumping ship left
and right.. I wouldn't be surprised if SB gets another player or
two to transfer over into our league and preferable with SB!

That would be nice - a couple big old O lineman or line
backers.

I really feel bad for UMass. I want them to be successful in FBS
football. We need more FBS schools in the Northeast + New
England...
But as of now they only serve as a cautionary tale to other
fans/programs with FBS aspirations.
I said many times I would love to see Stony Brook playing at the
FBS level only because I feel our peers ALL play at the FBS
level... But I had no idea how hard and painful such transition
can be. UMass is an example of just that
Besides, the way things are going.... FBS and FCS are probably
going to be the same $hit in a couple of years...

I feel good about SBU staying at FCS level in the CAA for a long
long time. If Towson can compete for a national championship, we
can.

Success begins with the quarterback..That will be the key to
our quest for a National Championship!

I'm surprised it took so long for them to fire him after the
season was over. they were probably trying to figure out if
they had enough booster support to buy out his remaining $$ on
his contract, $836,000. Until they were sure they could fund
the buy out, they were probably hesitant to fire the HC. I saw
a couple of video clips of him, and he does not seem like a very
personal individual. maybe two 1-11 seasons back to back will
do that to a HC>
but this is telling and is a caution to other programs that want
to make the jump to FCS: "They have struggled to draw crowds to
the cavernous Gillette, which is roughly 90 miles from the
school’s former home on campus, McGuirk Stadium, and haven’t had
great success on the field or on the recruiting trail under
Molnar."

I would say 50% of their failure begins with fans having to
travel 100 miles to see their team perform... No morale equates
to failure on the team.. No fan base to cheer your team on
equals failure .. UMASS was doomed from day one... They will be
moving back down to the FCS real soon!!!!!
