There is risk with any incoming recruit. Mike Coulter came in
from Syracuse played QB even with a bad knee that ended his
career in his senior year. Now he is in Med School. So who knows
you can get a bad apple right out of high school from LI which
already happened last May. It is a risk for any program.

Albany just hired a seasoned head coach for Albany Football...
Albany is going to be tough next year and years to come, makes
for a great Rivalry ..

Here in MACLand, Stacey Bedell announced via tweets he's leaving
UMass. I wouldn't doubt it if he makes a homecoming move to SBU.
They are also losing their #2 QB Mike Wegzyn though it sounds
like he'd prefer another FBS team.

After reading a little on QB Mike Wegzyn he is not that good.. I
hope priore passes on this kid. I could see him playing for a
lower FCS school but not SB.. Stacey Bedell, RB, on the other
hand looks like a stud but, I think we are overloaded in the RB
position for next year with Coker returning !!!...
Thanks for the update Recovering Hillbilly.... It's nice to have
information first before the breaking news !!!

If you are SB you don't pass on Stacey Bedell no matter how many
RB's you have. Getting him to come home would be a huge win for
the program.

After this year we can never have enough guys at any position.
Getting Bedell would be a big plus for the team. Remember
Coker is gone after this next season so to fill that spot will
be important.

Tseawolf97. I hear you inregards to not having enough players at
every posistion but, we only have 52 scholarships to offer our
atletes so overloading up on RB would not be wise. We need
players the DB posistions as well as WR with the absence of
Eugene. We still have Coker, Frederick, Poteat, and a couple of
more coming back in 2014..

We're allowed to offer up to 63 scholarship as per FCS and
conference guidelines

Yes Captain you're correct. I made a mistake with the
numbers...The FBS offer 85. With only 63 scholarship you gotta
be very careful not to waste any. Its a Chess match ever year
for FCS coaches to juggle provisions with 22 less scholarship ..
