Alex, here is the calendar which has podcast for every show. Go
to the Sunday 10PM-12 section within the calendar and it has two
small speaker icons beneath "The Sports Section". Click on the
first icon for the first hour of the sports section and then
click on the second one if you would like to listen to the
second hour. The podcast are in .pls extension so you would need

good story on SB QBs posted today on our website.
       Aug 13, 2013
       Stony Brook, N.Y. -
In the fifth installment of #SeawolvesSnaps, GoSeawolves.org
returns with its Roster Rundown. Today, we look at the
       quarterbacks.

       Outlook
Stony Brook's quarterback connection to southern California
continues as senior Lyle Negron takes over the reins from Kyle
Essington. A native of Bakersfield, Calif., Negron was anointed
the starter after winning the job during spring practice.

Negron saw time in a back-up role for most of 2012, but was
thrusted into action against Villanova after a knee injury to
Essington. Negron proved to be the game manager head coach Chuck
Priore was looking for, guiding an offense that held the ball
       for nearly 40 minutes.

"I thought Lyle handled the Villanova game as if he'd been the
starter for the last four years," Priore said. "Mistakes didn't
bother him. He controlled the game the way we teach our
       quarterbacks to do."

Behind Negron on the depth chart are redshirt freshmen Pat
D'Amato and Carlos Hernandez and junior Conor Bednarski.

D'Amato and Hernandez are a year wiser, having spent a full
season learning the nuances of Priore's offense. Bednarski
joined the Seawolves for the start of spring practice. All three
players will compete to be Negron's back-up.

       Final Thoughts
With Negron status solidified as the starter, the competition
between D'Amato, Hernandez and Bednarski will be exciting as
Stony Brook's signal callers are positioning themselves for
       future playing time.

       Stat Stuffers
       • Negron joined Kyle Essington '13 as quarterbacks to earn a
       win in their first starts
       • D'Amato led Xavier High School to a Class LL state
       championship in 2011
       • Hernandez was one of the top quarterbacks in the Inland
Valley, which is east of Los Angeles
       • Bednarski attended the same junior college (Fullerton) as
       Essington

I am stoked to see our running backs this season. Coker and
Poteat are going to be a deadly combination. Here's a quick
rundown of our running back situation for my season preview
       series (

By the way, I'm always shocked at how nasty the CAA will be. So
many ranked teams make for a gauntlet of conference games. Can't
wait to see Stony Brook on TV a few times a year too!

in the CAA, our boys will have to have their jock straps on for
each and every game. no sleepers in this league. you can look
at Rhody and say "hey, they lost all their games last year, they
must be chumps". but I'll bet they are better than some of the
Big South teams from last year. coach P is going to have to
keep our guys focused every week.

Stony Brook ranked 24 in this FCS top 44 countdown. They have
nice previews of all of the teams.

Nice write up and pretty dead on. I see one of our Rookies is
already pegged as an NFL prospect.
