Negron has the ability to run, he did so in JC, I believe he
ran for close to 500 yds. Damato ran a spread in HS, so he has
some ability to run. I know BFF is a fan of Hernandez but they
love Damato who was moved up to the backup for the Villanova gm.
And they also love Bednarski who if they redshirt wil mean open
competition with Damato. Also fun fact on Damato is that coach
Priorie coached him in little league when he cause he was on his
kids team.
As far as being too run heavy, New Hampshire and Towson both
run that Navy / Georgia Tech triple option with success in the
CAA. The passing numbers from last year are pretty good. I do
agree that we needed another receiving threat last year besides
Norrell but all in all I think they passed the ball a lot better
than they are given credit for. The big key in the CAA is
playing great def every week. Mix that in with ball control and
you have a recipe for success. Not comparing at all just an
example but Alabama does not run a sophisticated offense, they
pound the rock, pass when they have to and play great def and
special teams.

Great insights everyone. Being 2,500 miles away makes it tough
to be connected without your input. Are negron and D'Amato the
only QBs getting reps?

The countdown has begun ! I expect a big win up at URI then
we have to knuckle down with Buffalo and Villanova. Could win
all 3 very possible.

I'll be going to practice on Saturday- hoping to buy a new
camera and take some pictures. Real life has interfered for a
bit but now I'm back within a quick drive to Stony Brook and I'm
looking forward to the 2013 year. The summer flew by- its crazy
that its already 1/3 of the way through August.

I really want to win at Buffalo, but this might be the best
Buffalo team since they went to bowl. They have some talent on
that roster. I'd be really happy if we start 2-1.
