They were up 9-8 with 24 seconds left and lost the ball in a
turnover got scored on . Then lost in double OT 10-9.

Eh, it's certainly not what I had hoped for, but remember that
this team lost a ton a graduation last year including arguably
the best midfielder, finisher, and faceoff man in the country.
Also, there not getting blown out. They've been in everygame
they've played. If they were winning 60+% of the faceoffs, which
is what we as fans have become accustomed to after the last four
years with Rand, this team would probably be 6-2 right now.
I still wouldn't be surprised if they figure it out during
conference play and salvage the season, and I certainly havent
given up hope on Nagle. In fact I'll say I'm impressed with how
well they've played outside of the faceoff X.

Not sure I'm prepared to let Nagle off easy just because the
Wolves lost a lot of talent. Top programs lose a lot of talent
on a regular basis to graduation, but they don't drop from
having been a Top Ten team one year to 1-7 the next. Top Ten
teams usually stay ranked from year to year, or at least don't
win only 1 game out of 8. Kenneally was in goal for less time
than Brady, yet gave up more than twice the number of goals. My
lacrosse mind may be limited, but why isn't Brady playing the
whole game? Sounds like poor coaching to me.

I think you may be overstating the prominence of our men's
program. I think they've only made NCAA's twice maybe three
times. They didn't get there last year with all that talent. I
think we should strive to be consistently a top 20 team. We're
not there now, but this was always going to be a big rebuilding
       year.
I'm not sure what's going on in goal in at the moment, but
looking at the stats neither Keneally or Brady are killing it. I
think Nagle wanted to give Keneally, a fifth year senior, some
playing time before conference play, but it also makes sense for
Nagle to look his options considering the teams save percentage
       is below 500 right now.

From my observations, I have seen some poor individual efforts
by some team members that cost SBU the games. Look at the
turnover rate per player. Also, look at the shot and score
records. This is a mediocre team that is getting excellent
coaching. Also, what kind of recruiting is producing these
       players from past years?
Best to all of SBE, the players and the coaches. Just keep
       improving.

No doubt it's been a tough year but there is talent on this
team. What did they lose, 4 one goal games...with the exception
of UVA they played everyone tight and they did have an early 2
goal lead on the Hoos. Face-offs are killing them. You can't
expect to win close games when you are losing almost 70% of your
       draws.
Here's to making a run in the AE and winning some of these close
       games.

Vermont comes to town this weekend . Can we go 1-0 in conference
       play to cheer things up?

Anyone know what's going on with Campbell and Belton? I think
it's important that we have them both on the field for
       conference play.

My disappointment comes from the fact that this is pretty much
our best program and my expectation of the program were to be
competitive in the national landscape yearly after such a great
run to the NCAA in 2010. Its not the one-goal loses that are
killing me, I could take a few of those, but seven at this
point? that is not good, and you can't justify that with the
loss of a talented class. I expected a better season at this
point (something like 5-3). We wont be taken seriously until we
can consistently put good teams out there.
But I'm hopeful about the conference season. There still many
games to be played and these guys can turn it around and win the
conference. The only thing that would save this season in my
opinion is getting back to the AE championship game...
