VCU is going to be a very good test for us and a high point
on our schedule this up coming season. We played well last year
against some major teams namely UConn , Maryland and Seton
Hall. I see VCU on a par with those programs so it should be
interesting.

VCU: 26 RPI, NCAA 5-seed went to the 3rd round , finished #23 in
the country
UConn: 47 RPI, no postseason, unranked (no votes)
Maryland: 62 RPI, NIT 2-seed went to the NIT semifinals,
unranked (no votes)
Seton Hall: 133 RPI, no postseason, unranked (no votes)
I'm obviously biased, but I think we were a cut above those
squads. I think the numbers support that as well.

VCU Was no doubt better than those teams last year. It should be
a fun game to watch. Loojkng forward to CBB already!!! Its
amazes me how VCU has climbed the ladder so quickly.

That's the beauty of college basketball and the NCAA tournament.
Anybody can beat anybody on a given night. All you need is a
great coach and an administration that backs your program.
Stony Brook has both. You all have a bright future.

if we can also get a bit of luck our way it would be great. we
have the support system in place... we just need that recruiting
class that gets us there... something like seawolves baseball in
the college world series... for now we'll just keep waiting...
and hopefully we are the next VCU on the waiting list to shine!

We released our OOC schedule and Stony Brook will be coming to
VCU on Friday January 3rd, 2014.

Schedules starting to come out with most schools; here in Philly
most of the Big 5 schools have given out hints if not actual
non-conference schedules. Yesterday I saw that you play in the
2k Sports Classic in Detroit for 3 games

that the games are November 22-24. The first rounds of this
tournament are at host schools, so you should be playing Indiana
Nov. 14-17 (one of those dates)......on an unrelated note, I
imagine that Warney will be even more of a beast this season. I
would expect his FT% to improve, and perhaps more diversity down
in the low post.

I like our non conference schedule, probably the best we have
had. Some strong programs for a host of different conferences.

January 3rd.
