OK, I am the newbie on the block, I will admit that. I am still
troubled over the lack of communication on the schedule.
Clearly we got bumped out of great game with BC, for some reason
we can only speculate about. Great news for Villanova, their
fan base whoopped it up over that one. On the SB side of
things, there was nothing, literally nothing, Crickets.... No
formal announcement from the school, only the reposting of the
schedule with Week 1 game with BC changed to TBD. All I'm
asking for is that the AD communicate with the fan base about
what is going on. At least acknoweldge on the football website
that they ARE looking actively for a Week 1 game.
for the boys, this must be a big letdown, going from playing BC
in Week 1 to playing TBD in Week 1. How many recruits came in
to SB with this class thinking "oh great, we play two FBS teams
in 2013". Now.... we are only playing one FBS team, and only
have 11 games on our schedule. and its April for crying out
loud. from what I hear, even the players dont know whats going
on, or should I say, not going on regarding the schedule.
So just give us something to chew on, that's all I'm asking the
school to do on this one. From my limited and very amaturish
research, there were several northeast programs that we could
have teamed up with for a Week 1 encounter. then of course,
there was the possibility of a home/home series with Sam Houston
State. enough venting. see you all at the Spring Game for
cheese steaks.

I agree BFF. I was against playing Buffalo and in favor of
playing BC. so yea, it's a bummer. I've said all along I think
playing two FBS schools is a little much. lets play one FBS
school but still play a total of 12 games!!!
I think the problem is SB wants to play an extra home game and
they are having a hard time finding a team willing to travel
here. I also thinks he doesn't want to do a home/home..... Thats
why SHSU told us to shove it. The AD needs to bend a little
more if we have any chance of playing game # 12 !!!!

I love what the football program is doing lately with the
release of the short videos to the football website on: winter
conditioning, interview with Coach P on upcoming season, and now
the video of Pro Day at Stony Brook. Hope to see some video on
spring practices soon.

I read today that Sam Houston St added a 12 game for the 1st
time ever this year...Houston Baptist. Seems like a cupcake
game to me.

As of 4 minutes ago the date is still on the schedule. So
being a crazy optimist something is cooking -stay tuned.

Seawolf. That TBA wasn't there they other day.. I guess a 12th
game is in the cards after all. Way to go SB Football !!!!!!! I
just hope it's not a div2 team..

Hammer, are you referring to the TBA on SB's schedule for 2013?
if so, that TBA has been there for weeks. I assume they are
trying to find a game, but not having success.

Yes BFF, that's the one I was referring to. Rumar has is they
have something in the works but that all I was told.
I went to today's scrimmage and it was a battle of the
Quarterback day. Bednarski looked really good today with some
real accurate throws. Negron looked strong as well. D'Amato
looks horrible with his accuracy and long ball. Once again
Negron looks to be the better Quarterback out of the bunch but,
there is still plenty of time left in pre season play. Malcom
and Coxson look real good in the WR position. Will Tye ans
Cocker were hardly used today. Not sure why !!Williams saw a lot
of time in today in the RB position and I was not impressed at
all. I hope He's not Miguell replacement ... Yikes!!!
