Is it possible that SB has one more Scholarship to offer this
year.. Could we recruit a new player this late in the year
either by transfer or from high school ??

Big loss for our program. I looked at his bio and it stated he
was at Pitt for his first year, but did not play football, then
he had four years at SB, one a Red Shirt season. I guess that
year at Pitt cost him, even though he did not play ball.
dont forget, we just picked up that huge OL guy Doakes from
Pitt, and he has two years left to play.

Good point BFF. I forgot about Doakes. My guess is.. This was in
the works all along and Priore went out and found Doakes to
replace big Mike.. Way to go Coach. If Doakes plays well at RT,
we should be fine this year...... I hope !!!!!!!!!

Hammer, my thoughts exactly. Coach P knew that Big Mike was
going to be gone, and he went out and "found" Doakes as a
replacement for the inevitable time when Mike would leave.
originally, Doakes was on a grant-in-aid set up. with the loss
of Big Mike, maybe Doakes gets a scholly.

THis of course is very disappointing news, but i can only hope
it turns out to be a pleasant surprise when he ends up in the
NFL and starts pancaking linebackers.
Ive said it before- we are at the point where i dont think we
need to worry about losing a great player here and there. Why?
Because we fill the gaps and have great players waiting
alongside. Its a subtle shift that happened in this program
over the last couple of years. GO SB

Guillame is going to a junior college. My guess is he didn't
qualify academically.
Unfortunate Bamiro is ruled ineligible, but there's a lot of
offensive line talent on this team. Not too concerned. Best of
luck to Bamiro at an NFL camp this summer!

The upside is the more players we get into the NFL should help
our recruiting especially being in the CAA. I'm still who
will his slot, Doakes seems the likely candidate.

I agree with the chairman we are past the point were we can't
replace someone. Big shoes to fill but no doubt with the depth
and talent on the OL we should be fine.
