I just read in the Newsday article that Scott King has a 39 inch
vertical. That's crazy right? What do you guys expect from King?

Yes... I read it too. I really want to see how the freshman will
       contribute to the team!!!

I support that. This team has a TON of depth, and with the
upside King has, why waste a year of eligibility with garbage
       minutes.

Pikiell said Rapier has been having a great pre season so far on
seawolves night live. Is he competing with Dallas for the
starting job at the 5? He is listed at 6' 8" which is a couple
inches bigger than I thought he was, but that's definitely big
       enough for the America East.

I'd be interested to hear what Pikiell had to say; can you give
a brief synopsis of his comments? Did he give any indication on
possible redshirt(s) for this year? Any updates on recruiting?
Personally, in addition to King, I also wonder about minutes for
Mayo if Rapier is the back-up Center?

I think last night in SNL Pikiell said Rapier gained about 10-20
pounds. I can't remember exactly what he said. But it seems like
Rapier is much improved according to the comments by Coach.

I think Pikiell comes on around 15 minutes into this:
  HTML http://www.goseawolves.org/multimedia/ston-10-seawolvesnightlive.html
He said the scrimmage went well this weekend. He thinks they're
probable as far along as they have ever been at this point in
the season. He mentioned Rapier and Rouse when asked who on the
team seems to be breaking out. He didn't say much about Rouse
just that he's healthy now and recapped his injury last year. He
said Rapier has gained 20 lbs since last year and was making
some plays during the scrimmage on saturday but didn't mention
where he had Rapier playing. He mentioned that the programs
growth is evident in their recruiting but didn't saying anything
       else.
I personally consider Rapier a SF with no outside shot, but if
he put the weight on and is as tall as he's listed, I could see
       him doing damage inside.
I'm really curious to see what the teams rotation will look
like. I think some solid players are only going to see limited
       minutes.

Realistically, that's really the way it's going to be. You have
guys like Dougher, Brenton, and Hayes who you want to see for
30+ mins a game. Lots of high quality talent competing for the
final 2 slots, and we'll likely see some solid starters emerge
       there too.

Gotta figure they will redshirt the freshman (King). Joyner will
be in first 5...monster body plus experience. If Rapier has
really put on weight and can play big, also have McCallister and
Carter up front. Mayo will be a good player and the only one
with real shot blocking ability...but minutes will be hard to
       come by.
