SBU apparently gets waiver to Host AE Title Game at Pritchard

Can someone please explain me the what the heck is going on at
AE forum in the same name thread?
"Waiver" according to dictionary "the act of intentionally
relinquishing or abandoning a known right, claim, or privilege;
also : the legal instrument evidencing such an act"
SB requested a waiver to AE, the executive committee granted it.
It ****es me off that posters from other schools, especially
Vermont fans and ffts, trying to put an asterisk next the final
game in the case we win the AE tourney.
I see nothing shady here.
Are they crying foul, because they know that we are the favorite
to win it?

To host the AE Championship game, you must have a facility that
seats at least 3,000. Since the Arena is under construction,
Stony Brook needed to apply for a waiver in order to host in
Pritchard. The executive committee approved the waiver. It's
the best home court advantage in the conference right now.
That's why other schools are upset.

Much of the issue other school's posters have is the belief that
SBU requested a reduction in visiting team's tickets from 600 to
300. I have not heard that is definitely the case, however the
position of fans of other schools is they should not be
penalized for Pritchard being so small. They feel entitled to
the allotment league bylaws require and even though this would
hurt Stony
Brook support, I think it would be the right thing to do. Just
the way it is as our situation currently exists.
