I cant wait for the day that Arena is finally completed. It's
funny how Prichard said they are ahead of schedule... That Arena
should have been completed already and I can't remember how many
times the state postponed the start of construction due to
other projects going on and they took the Arena Funds to
complete them !!!! That's water under the bridge and SB
Basketball will only get bigger and stronger when future players
see this beautiful Arena and want to play here !!!

Rumor has it - if we get the chance to host the AEC championship
in 2014, we will host it in the new arena

I really love the direction SB basketball and the other sport
programs are going.. Read the last paragraph where Steve talks
about how SB Football is expanding the Stadium. WAS THAT A
HINT... Did anyone else hear about expansion of Lavelle ?????

The University has about $6 million coming to it from the
state. The plan is to add about 2200 seats so we go over 10k in
seating. When the state releases the money is another story -
we know how that goes. But yes our stadium will expand a plan
is in place already.

My guess is nothing is going to happen this year with the
expansion . AS of last week no signs of any work on the stadium.
Not even a CAA Banner or writing on the Turf.!!!

So by filling out the bowl, you mean the north end zone where
the red tarp currently is? Looks like 2200 seats to me! Great
news.
I also heard a few years back that they were going to fix up
some of the press boxes to have doors opening forward onto
terraces. That hasnt gone anywhere and im not sure it will.
