Good shooter with pretty ridiculous range. Looks like hes grown
a little since highschool. Originally commited to Wagner but
with coaching changes decided to come to Stony. I'm guessing
he's walking on now as a redshirt with the idea that his scholly
will open up next year.

I met him the other night after the Boston game during the
picture get together. Seems like a nice kid . Anyone who hits
10 three pointers in one game is fine by me . Quite a write up
on him.

We talked about Mitchell before, great addition IMO to the
program, for a couple reasons:
- you lose 4 guards over next two classes (Rouse/Hayes this
year and Coley/Jackson next year), and now you've added Puriefoy
in this class, and Reid (Walker) and now Mitchell next year. I
look at Burnett at more of a 3 than a 2, but in your system it's
not that important.
- every program needs a knock-down perimeter shooter, and now
you have one for next 4 years
- he also appears to be able to initiate offense, so he can
also bring ball up from time to time
- trend now is multiple guards on floor at same time, and I can
see in two years both Puriefoy and Mitchell on the floor with
some combo of Walker/Nayama/Burnett....
I would doubt, without Jackson being out for rest of year and/or
another injury in the backcourt that you see him play this year.
He appears to need to continue to add strength, and this time
will only speed up his acclimation process to your
system....overall a solid addition from where I sit.

He doesn't have a quick release (like Dougher did), and shoots
the three from a low position near his shoulder. HOWEVER, he's
really good taking it to the basket...which impresses me even
more than his outside shooting...so defenders won't be able to
guard him too closely on the perimeter.

Thats what im thinking- is that he's deceiving good at both
outside shooting and driving the hoop. That will divert
attention away from others, AND, teams in man will have to
decide to give him some room or to be up in his face.
