It was referred to as Mudville because of the many unpaved
areas, and virtually no landscaping. Was more like an Army post
than a university campus.

I lived in Kelly B for all 4 years. Among the best times of my
life. It is true that there was
quite a bit of construction during those years. The hospital was
being built and
was known as Kronos after a science fiction creature.

I lived in Kelly Quad one year- Hamilton College. But probably
after you guys!
There wasnt much construction 15 years ago, however, the last
few- its hard to keep count!!!

I don't want to get too much into non-hoops discussions......I
don't want to make the Administrators mad :{ ....but a shared
SBU experience are ultimately what this board is about! Anyway,
I want to share some last thoughts about my Kelly Quad days
circa 1980. The drinking age was still only 18, and every
Thursday night we would go dorm hopping from one party to
another, from one end of campus (H Quad) to another (Roth); no
automobiles required. The music was loud, the beer was flowing,
the floors were sticky, and the women were hot (sometimes). OK
guys, thanks for letting me share.

My thoughts on this part of the"good old days". I spent plenty
(perhaps too much) time in Benedict Saloon and James Pub.
The drinks were cheap and that's where the girls were.

Just some info off the AE boards. Vermonts big man Apfeld is
out for Fridays game and the next several weeks. Warney will
have his way with his replacement.
