He's been a relatively big Stony Brook supporters this season
(he's one of the guys on the FCS Wedge podcast, and he's been
heard pushing Maysonet for Payton).
I agree that his analysis leaves much to be desired, but for a 2
minute schtick, thats not terrible. I'm intrigued that the
defenders he mentioned were Solis and Anderson. The 'Nova line
is good, but i'm not sold that they're any bigger or more
talented than the guys we see every day at practice...
I'm not shocked he didn't mention Maysonet or Coker.
"Containing them" means holding them to ~100 yards and 2 TD's.
If they can do that, but SBU throws 4+ picks and gives up 2
defensive TD's, we lose. 'Nova is without their top DL for this
week, but lets face it, the real concern is that they stack 8 in
the box, bracket Norrell, and force Negron to beat them.
Especially if they use a rover FS who crashes the box because
the playaction isn't working.

Looking at the video, he's not afraid to run. I think we can win
with him in there. Then Essington will be 100% for next week.

I watched him play in a scrimmage over the summer, has a real
good arm and nice feet in the pocket. His running ability could
prove to be a difference maker in this game. Next man up!!!

Syracuse just beat Temple in Philly by a bigger margin than they
beat us in Syracuse. That adds to SB's resume...but of course
won't matter much without a win on Saturday.

Remember Essington came in for a injured Mike Coulter and led
us to two championships and an FBS win.If Negron can hang in
there and not make any mistakes I like our chances. I think we
see a very focused team tomorrow after the debacle at Liberty.
