I had mixed feelings about the performance Tuesday.
Regarding Coley/Jackson/Rouse/etc... those guys looked as
expected. Better than last year, and very solid. Can't really
say anything negative, they aren't going to light the league on
fire, but they will easily be a strong core squad.
       Regarding the new(ish) guys...
Pureifoy looked really "raw", granted it's his third game, but
he got rattled early and never recovered. Obviously I'm not
writing off his career, but a PG who gets easily rattled isn't
going to see much time, which just creates a vicious downward
spiral. That said, I still think he could end up better than
Warney, at the end of their SBU careers.
Warney looked really good, but got a bit gassed as the game went
on. Thats the only negative I saw, which means that we've got a
really solid player for years to come.
King is trying to guard with his hands, not his legs, and that's
getting him into trouble. He'll learn, but i'm kinda hoping
that this is more of a "game-speed" issue and not a "oh no, he's
       a bad defender" issue.
Mayo & Bracey look like they haven't missed a beat. Bracey
still can score, but can't defend. Mayo is still a quality
defender who needs to stop dribbling and taking jumpers. Both
are very very good at what they do well, but just need to adjust
       to Pikiell's plans.
Looks like they are red-shirting Walker and Burnett, which makes
a lot of sense to me given the teams position.
I know I must sound over-critical, especially after 3 wins, but
I'm going to admit I've got high expectations from this team,
and really do think they can be dancing in March. With Suero,
McGlynn, Aronhalt, and O'Brien gone, the America East is ours
       for the taking.
