2012: Game 11 - SBU @ Liberty 11/10 - ESPN3 - For the Championsh

So we have reached the final week of this exciting regular
season. For the second straight year, our championship will come
down to the last week, against Liberty. Stony Brook heads down
to Lynchburg with a 9-1, 5-0 while Liberty looks to even up the
season with a current record of 3-1, 4-5. I'm expecting a big
win at Lynchburg, ofcourse.
This game is very meaningful for the program. Our program has
grown and has benefited of a win-win partnership with the Big
South. Five seasons ago we came into the Big South with limited
scholarship offerings, a start-up marching band, no message
boards, no wikipedia articles, no national rankings to back us
up, and no meaningful championships. Now we are heading to our
last game and we can proudly say that our program has matured
along with all the great things that it has brought.
Lots of thanks to the Big South for the opportunity that they
gave to the Seawolves to grow. Jim Fiore and the administration
have done a great job and everything has worked out just the way
we wanted.
I'm looking forward for bigger and better things next year but
for now BEAT LIBERTY and we are in!
Lets Go Seawolves. #BeatLiberty

I think that's a fair score.
BTW on the tiebreaker- i got this from the WUSB guys:
The Old Rule was point differential vs. each other... The
New Rule is Big South Road record... the coaches voted this way
for BS Road record...
Based on the New Rule, Coastal Carolina would get the auto-bid
if all three teams are tied at the end of the regular season,
even though SBU won at CC...this doesn't hurt CC, since its a CC
home game.
Unless the Wolves get totally blown out by Liberty (not likely),
they're almost certainly in....at least as an at-large team.
However, beating Liberty will assure them of at least two home
games in the playoffs. And that's a very good thing.

35-28 SeaWolves
This is a statement game IMO. A game they need to win. It
would lock up a tourny bid but it could also get us a home game
and a bye. 10-1 should get the SeaWolves in the top 8. 9-2
will get us in a play-in game at best. If BS road record is the
tie breaker a lose to Liberty could put the SeaWolves on the
outside looking in.
Let's take care of business and get that bye/home game...GO
SEAWOLVES!!!

Actually. Just realized that we need to be seeded 1-5 in the
NCAA Playoffs if we want a first round bye and a second round
home game. It's going to be hard to get that so I hope that we
beat Liberty and that the committee realizes our only loss is
against a Big East Syracuse team which is as of now 4-5 in the
year.

Welcome LUFN- i think with the annual LU/SB game, you throw out
the weeks leading up to it. This should be a close game,
perhaps within a TD. Both teams have injuries (right?) and does
anyone know is Jawara hurt? Gush is out i can tell you that...
Best of luck to the Flames, will be watching and hope its a
great game and well attended.
