One Step closer to the playoffs. 41-10 victory in front of a
nice 5,791 crowd. Not bad at all considering no one really knows
who GWU is... 7-1, 3-0 in the Big South. Three more games to go.
On to Presbyterian next week
Go Seawolves

Question is where is Adrian Coxson? I didn't see him on the
sidelines tonight at all. He is still listed on the roster in
the program. Great game they really stepped it up in the 2nd
half and put the Bulldogs away.

Coxson played, but not much. All of his snaps were during the
final drive, when Negron and Lawrence were in the game. More
telling was after the fumble on the kickoff, they went with Polo
instead of Coxson.
Overall, the game was extremely fast paced and SBU just took it
to them.
Essington missed a few throws, but overall was very very good.
Maysonet showed that he's a beast (no shock there). The fact
that he's returning kicks make him that much more dangerous.
Norrell was exactly what we want to see. When they gave him a
cushion, he took the quick-hitter, when the single-pressed, he
ran right by. Personally, I loved watching him block. He
definitely gave out more punishment than he received. He's a
lot of fun to watch.
The hit Cheeseboro laid on #22 during the final kick-return, was
highlight worthy. That kid seems to light somebody up every
week.

Junior Solice is back from shoulder surgery. I think our D-line
is going to be nice with him back in the lineup.

Couldnt see the game (wedding) but great to hear that we turned
up the juice in the 2nd half and that there were no injuries.
We had our hands full with these guys it seems in the first
half.
"Maysonet does it again" is like a broken record now. Every
week this guy has a huge week. 9 yards per carry- its no wonder
we only threw 17 passes (Hubbard actually averaged 9 also).
Norrell=stud. Skiffy back to normal (45 & 48 is great at this
level i think).
Big game for Reyes and Simpson. The whole box was in the
backfield on Saturday. Six sacks- big credit to not only our
defensive line but the secondary that allowed them another
second or two.
BTW 5,791 attended. Not bad considering the time of year,
kickoff, opponent, etc. Would still like to see closer to a
sell out for a home game though, when we have such an exciting
team!
Was hoping for the blackouts all season! Finally happened. 8)

Previous Attendance against Gardner-Webb @ LaValle:
2008 2,217
2010 3,502
2012 5,791
People are coming for Big South games against schools they know
nothing about...

Gotta love it. I'm going to assume that was about 5700 SBU fans
and 91 Webb fand this past weekend. The community is buying in.
