Don't get me wrong, Maysonet is definitely the best player SBU
has ever had, and will be virtually impossible to replace. He's
a spectacular talent, and a quality RB.
That said, his measurables are not incredible. His 40yd dash
and bench press both would have been in the bottom half of RB's
at last years combine. Scouts are willing to look, because they
know he's a GREAT football player. But there are a bunch of
GREAT football players around the country. To be an NFL stud,
you have to be special. Can Maysonet be special? Absolutely.
Can he also be a backup NFL RB? Absolutely.
It's going to be an experience watching how it unfolds.

Just left the Gardner Webb football message board where I saw
unsubstantiated claims of bounties being placed on various SBU
players for this weekend's game. There are also references to
problems during practice. I hope this is a joke. If so, not
funny at all. Could be the thoughts of a parent simply
dissatisfied with their son's role. I hope that is the story
behind the story.

I couldn't agree more with you. While i'm not sure how much
stock I put into the claim (the "insider" listed Gush as a one
of the bounty targets... wondering if they'll target Brevi
too...), you never want to see this kinda stuff.

Uconn got beat up by Syracuse 10-40... Our loss doesn't look as
bad anymore. I know scores are not good predictions. But with
the way UConn played tonight, I think we could've beat them. Oh
well. We gotta wait until 2014 to find out...

I'm still concerned about the game in Lynchburg, so losing only
to Syracuse and (perhaps) to Liberty would still get us an
at-large bid.

I see us beating Liberty. They are not the powerhouse they
were the last few years but I suspect they will undefeated in BS
play when we meet. So Syracuse lays one on Uconn our stock
will rise with a win tonight.

Rutgers Is GOOOD!!! watching RU @ Temple. This is a very
talented squad. Exciting to watch. Giving life to the Big East.
I hope they go undefeated all the way.
