Great games for Essington, Norrell, Cheeseboro. Maysonet was his
usual great self - congrats on his Stony Brook and Big South
rushing records. Coker showed definite improvement. One glaring
weakness that I am sure will be worked on in practice this week
was the pass defense of the quarterback play option. A slightly
more accurate quarterback could have had at least 3 more scores
against us. Coach noticed the defense mis-formation on
Charleston Southern's lone touchdown and called for a time-out
but was ignored by the line judge. I have no idea why he didn't
       get his requested time-out.

Cheeseboro gets game MVP from me. The kid had 3 or 4 solo
tackles on KO coverage and they were all sticks. No doubt he
was a knack for the ball.

I was impressed by the whole squad, but Cheeseboro was just a
machine. Dude was no joke yesterday.

And Cheese is young right? I believe he is an underclassman...
       Gush played well too.
Im kinda curious on our TE system, because we play some double
tight. Tanner is a blocking TE, and how exactly would you
categorize Arce? I think Tanner is a soph and Arce is a SR, so
who else do we have coming down the pike? I ask because we are
creating a lot of film with Gush and Norrell, and we will play
teams that will cover 2 and help.

Arce is the only TE I have the ballthrown to. Sometimes he
makes great plays as he did against Army or can drop an easy
catch. Probably lack of experience feeds into the dropped
balls bu you are right our TE's are basically blockers. The
danger for other teams is covering our WR's then get burned with
a big run including Essingtom who is not shy about ripping
off 10 yards. Our run or pass ability keeps teams off balance. I
wouldnt be surprised if you see Coker as receiver before the
season ends. Much like Jackolski was used last year. Get Marcus
going down field against a safety at 230 lbs with a full head of
steam ouch. We are lucky to have a really wide open offense of
passing and running with a mobile QB.

I keep thinking that McMillan closer to a TE than he is a WR.
To use an NFL analogy, he's more Aaron Hernandez than Bubba
       Franks.
Right now, we're running a bunch of 3 WR sets, with Norrell and
a WR (Gush usually) on one side, McMillan/Campbell on the other.
If they run single high safety, he's gotta shade to the dual WR
side, and that opens a power sweep short-side. If he doesn't
shade, Norrell runs right by him and you get a big gain. It's a
really simple game-plan, but thats part of why it's so
       effective.
The danger of running a cover-2 shell is if Maysonet gets past
the first level, it's him vs a Safety. That's highlight
       material every time.

Ah yes put Coker in the slot, or perhaps send him in motion and
wheel up. Actually i see Maysonet better suited for that
formation now that i think about it. He is 210...
But yes i agree with you that going double tight with two block
first TEs, we are creating openings in the running game that
then create the opportunities for Gush and Norrell.

       Week 7 Poll: #13
  HTML http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/polls/fcs

#12 Towson just lost a close one to JMU and has Maine next week
(should win) and a brutal (CAA) schedule following.
#11 Illinois State clashes with #3 Youngstown, which should be a
great game, but provides us an opportunity to move up should we
       win this weekend.
       #10 Lehigh should beat Gtown.
Not a lot of room to move up, however, a lot of top 12 teams
play each other this weekend, so lets see what happens.
Also some love for Maysonet and Norrell here:

Maysonnet is a better receiving option, you can't compare Coker
to Jackolski they have totally different skills. Fenelon may get
some chances out of his H-Back spot. I do appreciate a Bubba
       Franks reference though.
