After a great homecoming game. The season continues with a
matchup against Army. Should be very exciting and hopefully we
can win our first FBS game against winless Army Black Knights
team. Go Seawolves
Prediction: 28-24 Stony Brook!!!!!!

I probably wont make it but ill be watching online. Btw what is
with the awful camera work for the Big South? Camera was zoomed
so far in you could barely see the TE. And judging by the play
action, this camera guy had NO football experience. Or maybe
Essington is just that money at selling the fake.... :-\
Just over 10k fans in the stadium alone is a big deal. On to
bigger and better things- like expanding LaValle!
Side note- i was able to take a tour of the Dubin Center- wow,
wow, wow and WOW. Men's bball was working out with Van Dyke.
You take a recruit- for any sport- through LaValle, Dubin,
Goldstein, and in the near future the Arena & Rec Center, tell
them they'll spend 1/3 of their waking hours there, and its an
advantage.
Can you believe 10 years ago it was a grass field with a broken
chain link fence and a softball scoreboard. And to call it a
"grass" field is generous. :P

Saturday will be tough but no tougher than a top FCS team
would bring. If we stay with their option and dont over commit
we can shut them down. Passing should not be threat . I say SBU
24 Army 14.

Army is #1 in the nation in rushing (FBS). Never would have
thought that. Our rush defense wasn't very good last game, so
that will need to change. In any case, there will be a ton of
rushing yards on Saturday, and a high scoring game

Ive noticed that all military academies generally run the ball
well. Paul Johnson's triple option at Navy landed him a great
job GT.
Army football has a tradition that is almost unparalleled, if
you look back to the 30s and 40s. That's gotta go for
something. SB struggled against Colgate at home. It should be
a great game.

Option game will be tough to stop but we should be able to score
on them so it might be a shootout. Will be a fun game to watch.
Really like the red tarp endzone at LaValle. I was thinking that
the easiest way to expand in the near future would be adding
seats in that endzone. It wouldn't cost that much cause you
wouldn't need a major construction job to get it done. Just put
seats in that bowl ( concrete would cost the most ). That should
add about 1,500 to 2,000 seats and you would still be able to
fit all the standing room fans. Could increase a total sellout
to about 12,000 without needing any major funding.

I like the chances on Saturday. I'm not expecting a win, but I
wouldn't be shocked if it happened.
They lead the nation in rushing, but at the expense of not
having a passing game at all. I like that matchup for us, as
long as we don't lose contain. This is a great teaching game,
as compared to Army, Coastal Carolina's option offense will be
tame.
I can't wait for Saturday!

I thought the same 10 years ago when they first built LaValle!
It was clearly built with that easy expansion in mind. Id
expect at some point, when considering the trajectory this
program is headed, that there will be a plan for another
mezzanine on the west side of the stadium.
