In fact, this guy, referring to the Pace game, said that Cuse
should have defeated SB 77-7. But, ya know, "all due credit to
Stony Brook"...

Anyone who assumes that a D1 team should roll a D1aa just by
walking on the field does not really know or follow college
football. These types of gms are happening every yr now. I
believe North Dakota St. has beaten a D1 team the last two yrs.
The gap has closed it has been for the last couple of yrs. You
see it in every sport with top talent kids either transferring
or going to a lower level school so they can play sooner. Let's
be honest we did not play LSU or
Alabama we played Syracuse. They have been on the bottom rung of
Div1 for yrs, so I feel that Stony Brook should have thought
they could win. Let them think that they are something up there,
because the rest of the state does not care about them. Playing
in the pin stripe bowl makes you the fourth best team in the big
east, that's like being the best looking girl in the bar at 4am,
we all know what that looks like.

I agree. Syracuse is no longer that program people would look up
to. it has suck since the late 90s. But its still BCS which
leads a lot of ignorant college fans to believe it should be an
Auto-win. It obviously wasn't like that saturday. They earned
it. Our team played great and we should be very competitive
against Army in a couple of weeks. I actually expect our first
win against the FBS in two weeks!!!

Like some of the other posters, I too heard Coach MacPherson
state, "Good" when he was informed about an injured Stony Brook
player. I really did not mind his partiality in his comments but
this was really too much. I emailed Chancellor Nancy Cantor of
Syracuse my thoughts about this poor sportsmanship. She
immediately responded that she was sorry this had happened and
that she would forward my email to "the AD and others." Will be
coming up for the Colgate game - should be a good contest and I
predict Stony Brook 31 Colgate 14.

That score is about right. I picked 38-14 and great job getting
to the higher ups at Syracuse. Maybe their old coach should get
job with New Orleans Saints -lol
