Big arm and good feet should fit in well.

Two more JUCO signings Zedrick Gardner and James Kenner both
from ASA College.

Kenner is listed as RB but played DB as a freshman. I suspect
we'll use both as DB's.

SBU does not need a QB to run the double option, we dont run
that type of offense. we run a pro-style O, with play fakes and
roll outs by the QB.
found this JC video on our new QB commit fromFullerton, and also
this article from So. Calif about the kid.

The more I see of Bednarski the more I like. On top of his arm
he scrambles pretty well. SBU has had two rb's fun for 1,000 yds
3yrs in a row and 4 out of the last five yrs, so I do not think
they need an RGIII type at QB. We have been successful with this
offense so why change it. I do like QB's that can make plays
with there feet so I think with this transfer, Negron, and
D'Amato they are cabable of that. In this age of copy cat
systems I do appreciate the fact that Priore is old school and
just hammers you wth the basics ( big TE's, big FB's, big OL and
a power running gm to set up the pass ).

With the absence of Maysont one would think the opposing teams
would think S/B will now revert to throwing more and less hand
off to the running backs, fullbacks. If S/B recruits a QB who
is a double option QB, the threat of throwing, hand off, run
would just give the seawolves another tool in the tool box to
work with. That's how i see it. More options the offensive coach
has to work with the more powerfull we become !!

Let's not forget that Jimmy Walker from Redlands HS also
committed for next year. From what I've seen, he's no slouch
either.
Actually, I think we're more that set at QB. I believe our weak
link may be at WR at this point. How does it look for Jacquille
Veii or some of the others? Anyone know?

Yes, with Norrel gone I'm quite certain Priore is looking real
hard for a WR receiver either a transfer of fresh out of high
school, either way he will come up with a star receiver, soon !!

dont forget about Coker at RB. he will be our No. 1 guy at that
position in 2013. who will step up to be the No. 2 back is the
question.

Coxsen will be counted on to replace Norrell on the outside.
Also keep an eye on Malcome Eugene who redshirted this year
after transfering from Temple. Inside word that I got says that
Nick Wagner who will be a redshirt freshman next year has the
inside track to be the slot receiver that relplaces Gush. Wagner
is a playmaker from John Glenn HS and was all state as a senior.
Devon Lawrence and Jamie Williams will probably battle it out
for the #2 RB behind Coker. When Priore brings in someone either
from HS or transfer he usually redshirts them. Very few play
right away, he likes to have the player in the program for that
extra year. As far as QB goes he recruits a certain type that
fits his system. He likes the JUCO tranfers cause they would
have had 2 yrs experience at the college level. SBU has had a
top 5 scoring offense the last couple of yrs so I do not think
that you will see any changes to it.

QB Jimmy Walker will not be signing with SB. They decided to
pass on him when they signed QB Conner Bednarski, who is already
on campus. With that said my guy on the inside tells me that
they already have a dozen verbals from HS players ( Haggert,
Fredericks, Camera included ). Three so far from JC and some D-1
transfers. Word around the program is that this might be the
best recruiting class that Priore has had.
