This kid can throw and is not afraid to put the pads down and
run. I really like what I see from his highlight videos!!!!!!

Anf yes another local prospect going to SB, this is what it's
all about. Long Island has a lot of talented kids in Football
but leave to go out of state because of their good football
programs. If SB continues with their winning seasons, and when
talks surrounds the university with expansion plans, we will
only grow bigger and stronger and more local talent will want to
stay here and play for a winning football school, and that's us,
SB Football !!!!!!! I cant wait for Football season.
The Superbowl is this Sunday and hear I am talking about College
Football season beginning .. Is anybody else on this board as
pumped up as me!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

More local talent also means more buzz in the local media/press
and more interest from LI people. More people from LI will come
to see the team. Higher attendance.

AJ has not shot at seeing the field at Stony Brook as a QB, but
who cares because he maybe the most mature and pleasant kid you
will ever meet!

You never know. Starters get injured and backups replace and
become starters. I would love to have a local QB become a star
player for SB, like Maysonet was our star running back..

First off to say Otranto has no shot to play QB is way off
base. This kid is a winner with a big arm. Last summer he went
up against the best QB's in the metro area and finished 3rd. He
can run a spread, he has quick feet, he is a winner. If you have
not watched him play you really can't make a comment like he
won't see the field. This kid is a winner with the tools needed
to play QB ( 3 Suffolk titles, 2L.I.C ). With that said he has
the talent to play safety, but do not count him out as a QB,
cause this kid can play.

2013 football season is underway!! A dual threat running QB is
not the prototypical SB QB.

But that could all change. I for one thinks we should have a
double option QB. lots of schools are moving to that type of
offense and so should to, heck even the NFL is doing it!!!!!!

They wouldn't bring Otranto in if he didn't fit. Look at
Bednarski's tape, he can clearly run. No one is saying that SB
is changing the offense, but as competition gets better you are
gonna need more athletic QB's.

I agree 100%. We are raising the bar in the Athletic dept. so a
high profile QB is/what we should be looking for , a QB who is a
high caliber passer, runner, and who most importantly can play
in the pocket.. If we really want to turn the corner in
Football, we must recruit only the best now because SB is passed
the "looking to get noticed school" we want to take this program
to the next plateau , we want make that trip to Frisco Texas and
win the championship !!!!
