What are guys expectations for this season?
I really don't know what to expect. There are essentially 6 new
faces with the have 4 freshman, 1 rs freshman and Mayo the
redshirt sophomore. Also, how much has Bracey's game improved?
Pikiell said that bracey is "by far, without a doubt the most
       improved player."

I think you are competitive as usual in the AE, along with
Vermont and Albany (BU obviously not in the mix). To me, it
depends on what you get from the 2 redshirts (Mayo and King),
along with the Frosh. Bracey being most improved seems to fit,
as most JUCO's take a year; I'm sure Pikiell's emphasis on
defense/rebounding was also a big change for him. I saw that
the updated roster is posted, looks like you have some guys who
       have gotten bigger/stronger:

We also have an ESPN3 home game in February against Vermont .
The Marist game should be a good test right away. Marist is
always pretty decent and they are home. We got some nice press
in Newsday today by the way, football and basketball.

Opener now is a pretty good test, as Marist returns all 5
starters. Although they are probably a middle of the road team
in the MAC, they are a program on the rise. They are not overly
big (they do have a 6'10" Center), but they are fast, athletic
and aggressive, so you should get a pretty good test right off
the bat. You went from a very easy opener to one that should
test you on the road against an experienced team.

A different AE lineup this year?

       > The America East found themselves on the wrong side of the
transfer market this offseason. Reigning Freshman of the Year,
Vermont’s Four McGlynn, transferred to Towson. Albany lost Logan
Aronhalt, their second-leading scorer last season, to Maryland
while Gerardo Suero, their leading scorer a season ago, went
pro. Boston U. not only lost Jake O’Brien to Temple, they lost
their right to play in the America East tournament when they
made the decision to jump to the Patriot League after the
season. Even Binghamton, who won just two games last year, lost
three of their top five scorers, had their head coach fired and
is dealing with two more players getting arrested.
       >
       > While it may seem like it from that description, the America
East isn’t a complete dumpster fire. Stony Brook lost three of
their top four scorers, but they do return Dave Coley, who
should be read to shoulder more of the scoring load, and Tommy
Brenton. Brenton is one of the most intriguing players in the
conference, as he led the Sea Wolves in rebounding, assists and
       steals a season ago.
       >
       > Brenton isn’t the only one to put up that statline, however.
UVM’s Brian Voelkel did the same, but the Catamounts will also
be dealing with losing three of their top four scorers. Luke
Apfeld and Clancy Rugg will be asked to play a bigger role this
year, but it may not be enough to catch Stony Brook, who brings
in a talented freshmen class that will be counted on to
       contribute immediately.

Any word on how the team is shaping up? A Stony Brook fan over
on the AE board said Warney put up 22pts 13reb and 3 blocks in
the scrimmage against CCSU. I read somewhere Pikiell said Warney
is the best recruit he's ever signed which is very high praise
considering how good guys like Dougher and Brenton were when
       they first came in.
Any other information from the scrimmage?
