       2012-2013 Season

It's time to begin a new topic, especially with this bit of
news. The AE Conference announced that Boston U will be
ineligible to participate in the conference tournament for this
upcoming season. SBU's chance to dance just doubled (it was
pretty high already). The AE did the same thing to Northeastern
       back in 2005.

No surprise there, I posted an ESPN.com article about it on the
AE forum. So, there's just no 8/9 game in the conference
tournament, which actually makes it easier for one of those
teams, as they now play the same number of games as everyone
else (not that I think an 8/9 can actually win 3 straight).
Anyway, to me your league looks pretty equal this year.
Everyone had significant losses, and it appears that SB will be
underrated. Albany may surprise, and UVM is always competitive,
but if your Freshman (specifically Warney and Puriefoy) play the
way they are capable, I think you should be right there....are
they Frosh on campus for Summer school; how do they look? Any
       word on that?
I mentioned this before, but still haven't heard what you will
do if you are the host team for the AE Championship Game?

This is really a big season for SBU. We have been knocking on
the door the past couple of years but always fell short. If
our incoming freshman play up to their credentials and the upper
classman deliever we will be a good shot for the NCAA's.
Vermont and Albany lost alot through kids leaving their
programs and graduation hit them also so I'm hoping our guys see
that as a great opportunity to win it all.

Agreed, but I also think Hartford will be much improved, as will
Maine. Actually, the whole league, as UMBC has a 6'10" transfer
eligible, and a couple pretty good freshman, while Binghamton
has a new coach who is a very good recruiter, and will have them
at the very least, competing much better. Bing will be back, no
doubt, it's just a matter of time....all that said, you guys
should have only one goal: NCAA tournament. I think it comes
down to you and UVM/Albany in the 'chip, assuming your frosh
play well (they are the key).

I'm worried about hosting a potential championship game. I know
is kind of early for hypothetical... But it would be ugly if we
can't play our Championship game at home. That would be such a
disappointment. But I believe in Jim Fiore. I know he must have
       a back-up plan already.
       Lets go Seawolves!

Given we cant use Pritchard and the old arena is getting a
major overhaul -yes I hope he has a plan. Maybe move it to
Farmingdale St? Their facilites are pretty decent . But lets
win some games first before we get ahead of ourselves. Remember
we have alot of good talent coming but they are freshmen .

Couldn't agree more Seawolf97; first things first. To that end,
I will say that I've been consistent in my belief that Warney
and Puriefoy are ready to play from day one. Both could've gone
to a higher level program, and I doubt that they will be
overwhelmed. However, all frosh go through an adjustment
period, but that is what summer and fall workouts are for (has
anyone seen the frosh yet on campus/playing?)....to me, your
advantage is that you have veterans at their respective
positions, so if they struggle, you have proven players in the
       program.
I don't know anything about the school you mentioned, or their
facilities, and while extremely premature, I would be interested
in the plan if SB hosts another conference championship
game....hopefully as the summer goes on, someone will post their
impressions of how the frosh look as they play with the
veterans. I'm especially interested in thoughts on Reid, as he
is the one I know the least about.

Updated roster is on goseawolves. Looks like Kam Mitchell is a
       2013 recruit.

Good to see the roster up. I thought Warney was taller more
like Mayo or King in the 6'8-6'9 range. Hope to see Bracey
have a break out senior year he could be a difference maker.
