School Quarterbacks and do you think we have a shot at
recruiting one. This years Q looks really strong and I would
love to see a College freshman start and grow with the team

To add some weight to Captaindj's point, Santorelli, Heldberg,
Cerrone and Galligan have already all commited to other
schools--but for lacrosse, not football

I actually read an article a couple of years ago about how many
Long island Athletes are opting to go to college for lacrosse
instead of Football.,,, LI produces a lot of talented Football
and lacrosse players but these kids rather take the lacrosse
scholarship instead of Football, why ????

To bad the Colts let Miguel go.....
Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw will have season-ending neck
surgery, a league source told PFT on Tuesday.
Bradshaw, 27, played a key role in the Colts’ Week Three win at
San Francisco, rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown. However, he
has missed the last two games with the neck ailment.
With Bradshaw out for the season, the Colts will rely on Trent
Richardson and Donald Brown at running back.
Bradshaw has rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown on 41 carries
this season for Indianapolis. He spent the previous six seasons
for the Giants, playing on two championship teams and rushing
for the game-winning score in Super Bowl XLVI. Overall, Bradshaw
has rushed for 4,418 yards and 34 touchdowns in regular-season
play.

Hammer, Capabianco from Lawrence is the best on the island. He
has an FBS arm but he is only 5'9" - 5'10". Don't know were that
leaves him but besides his height he is legit, he throws a
perfect ball. As mentioned before a few of these kids are going
for Lacrosse. The kid Illario from West Islip is being looked at
on the FCS level as an athlete or RB, he runs the read option
well, throws ok. Brett Stewart from Garden City is interesting
he is 6'1" 200 has a real nice arm and has good feet with some
speed. Also a Lacrosse guy but wants to play QB in college. He
fits the SB profile for QB's the best but I don't know if there
is any interest. Don't be surprised if they don't get one from
the island. They still have Otranto and Ferierra as redshirts
this year. I will see what I can find out about some of the
rest. Msg varsity is no longer a channel so doing my research on
the tri state talent is a little tough this year.

Practice squad players get cut all the time. This is normal for
teams to bring a guy in for a few weeks and see what he's got.
It is not necessarily anything that the player is doing wrong. A
need may arise at another position and a practice player becomes
expendable.

Jet's have 2 rb's hurt so maybe this is his real shot. Rex Ryan
said that they are looking for playmakers anywhere they can find
them.
