I agree, I think Brock will have some pretty legit numbers when
he tests. I also think his versatility will be a huge asset,
after leading Hofstra in rushing as a true Freshman he started
at Cornerback as a Sophmore. Some NFL coaches really value that
       type of glexibility...i.e Bellichick.....

Brock is a marginal NFL prospect. I expect him to have more
success than any before, but I'd rather him as a CFL star rather
       than an NFL backup.
That said, our REAL NFL prospect is Marcus Coker. A legitimate
prototypical RB, I see Coker flourishing at SBU in our run-first
offense, garnishing the looks of several NFL programs in the
       draft.
A breakout by Adrian Coxson would also qualify him for NFL
       consideration.
For the NFL, it's all about athleticism and size. FCS players
don't lack skill, they lack some of the prototypical builds seen
       at the higher level.

I still think Brock could be a good NFL player if he ends up in
the right offense (read the Patriots). He matches up very well
with regards to size and athleticism with Welker, Woodhead, and
Branch. I think Jackolski needs to hope he gets an invite to
Patriots camp because Belichick and Brady have shown they can
use guys like him very effectively.
Coker was great get for Stony Brook not only because he's an
unbelievable talent at the FCS, but also because he's going to
draw a lot of NFL attention to the program which will help the
program even more with recruiting and getting our current
players NFL looks. It seems the consensus from everyone is that
Coxson is an NFL talent as well. It's just a matter of him
       staying healthy and focused.

I would have to think that Brock would much rather make a roster
of any NFL team than play for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders or
some other CFL teams.....I have no delusions of him getting
drafted, just think if he gets into the right camp he can turn
some heads and have a shot to make a team. Not comparing him to
Coker, who will be fun to watch for the next few years, but to
me rooting for the local guy who i have been watching play for
6-7 years and who happens to be extremely talented is much more
       intriguing......

I totally agree that he is capable of turning heads. He probably
could have started at rb, wr, cb, s, and I think even at the
rover linebacker for Stony Brook. He's also very young to have
finished his college eligibility as he will be 21 if when he
gets invited to camps in August. For comparison Welker was 23
when was picked up by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent.
Brock is almost a victim of his talent because he was too good
to redshirt when he arrived at Hofstra despite being so young
for his age and was talented enough to play RB even though it's
probably not his best fit (unless he can add 10-15 lbs which I
really don't think is out of question considering he's still
young and will be able to work on getting into football shape
full time). It'll be interesting because he's definitely an
       unbelievable athlete.

A friend of mine who knows Brock's parents told me that there
were a few NFL teams that have "expressed interest"... I didn't
ask for details but heck even a camp invite would be nice!

I'd love to see him get an invite. While I don't expect him to
end up on a Week 1 roster, there is always a chance. I think I
can safely say we are all pulling for him!
I'm still expecting him to end up playing in the Arena League
(or Canada) come next season, but I wouldn't mind being wrong
and hearing "Brock Jackolski, Stony Brook" on a Sunday night
       broadcast...

He is good. Now how will Coker look who is even faster and more
skilled? Hope Brock makes a team !
