A big day for us. Definitely a step forward for all of SBU
Athletics.
Pity we couldn't move all sports, but it's inevitable that SBU
will eventually leave the AEC. Hopefully we make the NCAA
tournament a few times first to get some additional media
exposure and better recruits.

I don't mind the outcome. Its great having football in the CAA
while we try grow basketball within the America East and make it
competitive with our new Arena. The future is indeed bright. We
are not skipping the steps and taking our time.

Great move for football, more geographic rivals means more
fans at LaValle. The future of the other sports is now in their
hands, if we can dominate the AE for another year or two then
move everybody to CAA. This is great for local kids whose
families can travel easier to away games, will make a difference
in recruiting. No reason to think that we can't compete for a
national title this year. Can't wait for Sept. 1st.

I have to believe that baseball has set the bar at what our
teams can achieve. Football has a real shot at a National Title
or at the very least can go deep in the playoffs. Basketball
should improve even with 4 newcomers who are very talanted and
win the AE. So yes our future is bright.
