Coming off a huge win last week. The Seawolves (1-0, 2-2) find
themselves with a great opportunity this upcoming week to earn a
win and get themselves into the Top25. They will return to the
Bronx to face the Fordham Rams (1-1,1-3) on what has proved to
be an exciting (and to my surprise - challenging) series for the
better part of the decade.
Fordham started the year slow but, like the Seawolves, also
pulled off an T25 upset last week at No.21 William & Mary.
GO SEAWOLVES!!!!

At a personal level - I love having the Seawolves play in my
hometown Bronx. It's the closest game to me every other year.
But this year I didn't have much luck. I will be away at a
wedding in the Catskills. So I hate that I will miss this game.
I do think the Seawolves are the favorites here. I fully expect
them to come away with a commanding victory. Anything less would
a disappointment

This is the last game that we will play Fordham for the near
future however they are trying to add Buffalo so to have an
upstate downstate rivalry.
If there are any big HS Football Fans here there’s a big HS Game
Saturday at Hofstra University when the top team in Nassau
County Conference 1 Massapequa will play the top team in
Conference 2 Garden City 5:00PM

i think there is a good chance this game gets rescheduled.
Saturday there is a big storm coming. a soccer game in stony
brook already got rescheduled to monday. we will see

I don’t see why they couldn’t just play this game Friday night.

It sucks for Fordham that this weekend was their Homecoming
game.
As you guys mentioned. This game probably will not happen. It
will likely end up getting cancelled or re-scheduled.

The governor just declared a state of emergency for LI, NYC,
Westchester for tomorrow so I’m pretty sure it’s been postponed

I just heard from one of the SBU Coaches that the game is still
on for today and you can watch it on ESPN +

This has been a really good series and kudos to the SBU and
Fordham administrations for setting it up. Hopefully it will be
renewed as a PL-CAA matchup of geographically close teams with
strong academic reputations and potential for real rivalries is
one I'd like to see more of. PL OOC opportunities have really
dimished with their expansion so I am doubtful.

Woke up to check the SBU Athletics site... and the game is still
on!
LFG!!!!!! Who said you can't play in a bit of rain and 30+ mph
winds!?!?! lol
I hope its a good, competitive game and that no one is adversely
impacted by the weather.
