He’s not a big body— but he has increasingly shown some really
quick hands on defense lately. Today he was on another level
with these steals and blocks. Love to see it.
Also— great call by Geno to get Oleg out there to combat
Garfield in the 2nd half.

What a great win! Pratt refused to lose but Goods, Shosh and
Simmon were all heroes tonight in their own way. Feels like if
you can get away with it size-wise Shosh, Brown, Simmon, Pratt
and Goods are our best 5 to have on the court down the stretch.
Played fast and with active hands and all 5 are threats from
deep.

Clutch shooting and some terrific defense. If Monmouth loses
tomorrow, it’s a three-way tie for third.
Gotta win three out of the next four to earn the bye.

Best crowd in a while. The athletic department packed one end
zone and the winter break brought some people out.
Simmon was terrific. Perfect three and D guy. All the guards
really compete on the defensive end. It’s admirable.
I’m in awe of the miles that Pratt puts on. Primary initiator on
offense, he was all over Blakeney and held him to a quiet second
half, he gets on the boards. It’s really something.
Nice minutes from Oleg.
Twenty wins is attainable but three tough ones to close out the
year. It’s been a lot of fun.

Here's a question ... if we get a top four seed in the CAAs, is
Geno the Coach of the Year favorite? Does it come down to him,
Rice (Monmouth) and Siddle (UNCW)?

I don’t see that happening. The team’s current RPI is 177 and
NET at 210. I don’t know of a coach in any conference that
deserves COY with those results unless they took over from a
true bottom dweller.
