One of the best college games I’ve seen in awhile, win or lose!
Gutty, gutty effort. Pratt was amazing. Huge, huge games from
Butler and Simmon. And we won despite going 20-31 from the
stripe.

What an instant classic gentlemen! Geno haters are real quiet
right now.
Pratt with an all time performance — 3rd highest single game
points in SBU D-I history behind only Warney and Roberts!
But guys. — JONAH. BUTLER……
Tough defense down the stretch. That incredible steal at the end
of the 2nd half. Then of course some big shots/layups. He is the
future. But he’s also here now.
Goods was hesitant to shoot threes most of the game with the
bigs on him. But what a shot at there towards the end to keep us
alive!
No one in the CAA is safe when they walk into IFCU. The arena
was bumping!
It’s games like this that we show up for bad seasons for, for
historic losses to Drexel, and low attendance at times. — to get
a taste of greatness! Last time I felt that energy in IFCU was
April 2016.

Waking up the next morning there are so many stats that dont
feel real. 27 assists to 8 turnovers, 38 points off the bench.
Id have to imagine the first game of at least 39 pts, 13 assists
and 7 rebounds in sbu history, that game saving 3 from Goods (to
go along with 4 assists and 3 blocks). What a game! Now we get
to enjoy it until Thursday.

i watched the replay late last night. it's befuddling how bad
we were over xmas break and now this week.
early, i saw a lot of inside-out bball. most of which was
initiated by pratt. that opened up the perimeter, so shots
fell. maybe it's hipsher?
i didnt love the reliance on the 3, often right at the start of
a possession. i counted 13 attempts in the first 12 minutes.
fortunately, they landed, which is rare for us. i wouldnt
expect that again. or should we?
i loved the hustle from Goods, particularly getting back into
the paint to cover up two very large assignments. he and pratt
did a lot of everything tonight. pratt was doubled a lot and
still managed 39 points on 50 minutes (essentially two games,
good ones at that). FTs, defense, calming the team down when
needed, etc.
we have depth this year and its helping. id give butler more
time, keep simmon coming off the bench to surprise teams, hope
that o'connor can spell pratt, and find 3 more versions of
Richard Goods.
a side note on officiating- its getting harder and harder. i
see more travels, lots of free hand play, some carries, and a
lot of contact. i applaud them for calling an even game.
maybe this was CoC's super bowl???

I find myself super hyped after this homestand.
To think that we had UNC-W on the ropes and it got away.
Starting to believe that anything can happen in D.C this year.

Amazing how quickly I went from feeling like this program has
hit rock bottom...(I was a fan during the first days of D1...and
I was there for Warney/NCAA dancing, etc.)...to now thinking
this team has something...something worth watching at least and
the potential to make some noise.
The near win against UNC-W...and now these 2 impressive wins
against good teams...
But this same team also put up 37 points a few weeks ago.
It should be interesting, at least.
This crazy turnover each season regarding the roster means the
team needs to gel...but also as fans we don't really know what
we have until things settle a bit. I'm not sure which team is
the real team yet. In years past we at least had some historical
context. I do miss watching players develop.
I feel better about the team than I did 2 weeks ago.
