It’s unfortunate that Stony Brook is named in this article. I
hope nobody at the university was directly involved. On the
flip side, if a player or employee at Stony Brook were to be
implicated or indicted, it would be the most excitement around
the program since it’s first and only march madness appearance.
Stories of this kind will continue to arise at all levels of
sports where gambling is allowed. It’s only a matter of time
before a huge a scandal breaks…college or pro. It’s inevitable.

Here's the boxscore – including the first half box – from that
game.

Zero turnovers (shrug). Looking back on our feed, nothing or
nobody in particular jumps out. Maybe it was somebody somewhere
who watched us against Brown and was like "those guys really
suck!" and put $2700 on it. Or something more. I hope not. But
also, with how easy it is to bet and how often it's thrown in
your face before, during and after games, nothing would surprise
me.

This is a bad look for the University. It is an even worse look
for the University if they try to cover this any further by the
fact they haven't made a statement on this issue.

For the Gambling Allegations from the NCAA. The school would
have received a notice by the NCAA about the investigation and
if someone knows file a FOIA request and ask to get this
information public because we are a public university. Also
while filling out a FOIA request for that, someone fill it out
for Geno Ford Contract Extension to 27-28.
