yeah that's the name of the game unfortunately.
better. down 12-10 now with an 11-13 deficit in FOs. forde
might be our backup to smith. offense work up. birney with a
huge CT, to Dodge for a break and a goal.
one quarter to go.

much better 2nd half. pulled within 1 twice but couldnt tie it.
lost 14-11 to #18.
onto #13 UVa visiting next saturday. they just got beat up by
richmond today.

hosting #15 virginia. end of the first quarter it's 7-1 cavs.
the cavs scored 11 seconds in on a break. in just a few
minutes, it was 4-0 and felt over at that point.
we went to a zone, but it didnt change anything. we struggle to
faceoff, make saves, pass, shoot, cover 1v1, slide.
there arent necessarily any excess TOs or mental errors; we just
cant keep up with them.

more of the same. halftime UVa 11, SB 3.
i dont think there are any halftime adjustments to be had here.
were just not competitive. fans agree:

with that said weve stanched the bleeding. we cant beat their
goalkeeper though.

much better effort in the third. UVa 14, SB 6.
were getting murdered on GBs but actually competitive in the
faceoff draws.
the cavs continue to slide to our mids very very early.

final UVa 19-7.
roughgarden came in for wilk with 10 minutes left.
0/5 on EMO, but we scored at least two right after expiry. only
17 SOG (less than 50%)- less than UVa totaled in goals. millon
had 13 shots himself, finished with 5g, 2a.
still, a better effort in Q2-3. which was like the rutgers
game- we woke up late, but too late.
otherwise a nice homecoming for Lars Tiffany. we have a chance
to win the next 3 (iona 0-5 and about to lose, bingo 1-3,
manhattan 0-4) before we host hofstra.

At some point the school needs to look at the leadership.
Raising money and buying a ton of gear doesn’t equal being
great. We keep being told we’re building a champion and yet we
keep moving further away. There’s a problem when we are looking
excited that our next three opponents are a combined 1-13. There
a real
Bad culture problem at the program. Needs to seriously be looked
at.

I believe it’s year 7 for this head coach and the body of work
speaks for itself. It’s a shame that the program has regressed
to this point. Hope they can compete in conference but this an
abysmal start to the season.

I was optimistic on him to start but his results haven't been
much better than Nagle's, and he's about to be here for as long
as he was. This should be his last year, the team is just not
competitive enough.
