Big loss imo. Prob saw the writing on the wall, and put his
family first. Either Geno on his last legs or Heilbron not
       getting renewed.

I would think that this was an easy one for Rickard. The ice
seems thin at Stony Brook with Geno and with college sports in
general, and instead he can stay in the community and help build
what's going on at Stony Brook School – two new turf fields, a
skyrocketing baseball program with a potential MLB first rounder
next year, free private school tuition for his kids ... can he
even live in one of those houses that the school owns?
Salary-wise, I have to think it's no more than a lateral move,
but you can't put a price on the stability, lower stress level
and maybe those added perks too.

geno is probably putting money in the bank and knows he won't
get anymore time here after his contract is over. he is a smart
man that way. Heilbron has 9 lives and it's a shame.

As a local guy, it would be fun if Rickard turns the Stony Brook
School into an elite prep bball program. SBS hiring Rickard
makes me think they want to elevate the hoops program
