CAA football is likely to have a very low revenue sharing
commitment minimum. So the teams remaining in the severely
depleted (Delaware, Richmond, William & Mary, and Villanova)
conference are likely to stay. May become a single bid league.
Meanwhile, the greatly strengthened Patriot League is likely to
become a multi- bid league. And its rival, the Ivy League, is
finally participating in the FCS playoffs.
So, quite a power shift in east coast FCS football relative to
       conferences.

I can easily see the Ivy League consistently getting three bids,
which makes it even harder for the CAA.

I thought the Ivy League didn't offer scholarships and opted out
       of the NIL/Revenue-sharing.
I don't see how they will compete against the CAA. Unless you
are basing it on the academic prestige drawing better athletes

The Ivy League was the second highest rated FCS conference last
       season, and without scholarships.

That's wild!!! thanks for the info.
They do play a shorter 10-game schedule. will they have to
modify that now that they are participating in the fcs playoffs?

[/quote] If you are talking about about Harvard, Yale, and
Princeton the fact is that financial aid is so generous (and
offered to all qualifying students) that most football players
attend for free. Or very very close to it.
And that stacks up well against attending UNH or URI (for
       example) for free.
We’ll see if revenue sharing/NIL changes that.
While I wouldn’t expect three Ivy playoff teams a year, I would
expect two once in a while. I can see two most years from the
       Patriot League.

ive been trying to explain this for nearly 30 years... thanks
       for putting it so eloquently.
sure, the IVY doesnt allow scholarships. but they have ways
around it. i went through the process- a few times (penn,
cornell, cornell)- but dont recall the details. it's true.
i think the issue is that the IVY schools are so expensive that
even with the aid, you still can fall way short. it helps to
fit their criteria, be good at a sport, have perfect scores,
       legacy, etc.
a 10% package of IVY aid can still leave you short 75k (all in
with expenses). meaning, over 97% of the population can't
afford that. which also means- you may not be at an IVY because
you're smart- you're just among the very very few that can
afford it. and so the myth continues...

I was at SBU last night as they had their first Prospect Camp
and had close to 90 Players and I asked Cosh about going forward
with the CAA Football Schedule and SBU wants to play 12 games
       per year going forward

Yeah, good points. I have heard from many folks that the fact
these schools have such huge endowments makes their "need-based"
financial aid packages very very generous. So any low income
athlete that is accepted will get a free-ride one way or
another. Any one in their right mind will not turn that down.
The value/prestige of an Ivy League degree is a gift that keeps
       on giving.

It is nearly impossible to grasp the financial aid program at
Harvard, Yale and Princeton without firsthand experience. It is
VERY different from financial aid at other schools.
Starting in the 2025-26 academic year, Harvard College will be
free for students whose family income is $100,000 and below.
This covers all billed expenses including tuition, food,
housing, health insurance, and travel costs. Additionally, each
of these students will receive a $2,000 start-up grant in their
first year and a $2,000 launch grant during their junior year to
help support the transition beyond Harvard.
Students with family incomes of $200,000 or less will receive
free tuition and additional financial aid to cover billed
expenses, depending on their financial circumstances.

So, when I write the youngsters playing football (basketball.
etc) essentially attend for free (parents earning 200K or less)
that is what I mean. And what mom is sending the kid cost free
to URI/UNH/SBU when she can send him cost-free to Harvard?
