Geno keeps getting embarrassing home loses and that is what he
will be remembered for. I heard he is here through 2028 but this
game is a game you could be fired for but the AD screws up again
by keeping him on the pay roll into2028 and has very few choices
to make but he won't make the right one.
Maybe get Geno out of there and give the team to Coach Rickard?
the program is very far away from where it was in 2016 that rock
bottom is where its at. Get back to basics with this team with
Coach Rickard who is a good man and can connect with the
community and rebuild the program.
I blame Heilbronn again he did the same thing with the football
coach the past ten years. the team looks like they have quit and
maybe it's because they know the head coach has quit.

Other schools have started firing coaches already this season
but I don't think Heilbronn will do anything. He is the one to
be blaming!

He's signed through next year (2026). Where did 2028 come from?
Are you saying that Heilbron pulled a Priore with Geno, and
tacked on 2 more years without formally announcing it?
P.S. That was just a horrendous effort. When Octave throws his
inbounds pass right to Campbell, after Campbell had just scored,
it set the tone for the entire game. Those kind of mistakes can
never happen with a properly coached team. Team is demoralized,
and if they lose Sunday, we may not see another win this season.

i would say that its hard to believe that 9 months ago we were a
point or two away from an NCAA berth.
but it is believable, because that's what the portal, NIL,
social media, tv contracts, streaming services, and the N$AA
have done to college athletics. even the coaches, players,
fans, administrators- everyone's guilty of infecting it.

Word is now Geno was extended twice last year. Once midseason
and once after the tournament. Terrible mistake from Heilbron
who once again sneaks a secret extension. We're screwed.

I highly doubt Geno is going anywhere. HB will probably give him
one more year. But maybe without a permanent president on board-
he gets some leeway to cut him loose early? The CAA is a very
tough league. I don't think the University will be too happy
about terminating two coaches before the expiration of their
contracts (although this is the norm at many big athletic
institutions obviously)
Again, we need an identity. Either we are ALL IN on athletics or
we are out. That's the reality of today's NCAA landscape. I feel
like we half one half foot in and the results are abysmal
outside of a good rebound football season. Basketball outside of
last year & the Warney years have been mediocre, as well as one
playoff run in football in 2018 after Hofstra's program closed,
and one World Series run. We haven't been competitive in
baseball in a long time either.
Maybe our move to the CAA was premature? I'm not sure what's the
ultimate goal when barely 50 students show up to any game with
an enrollment of 30,000+?

its been years for football and basketball and sb hasn't been
allin in a long time since about 2016 can you guess what
happened then? its been down hill since Fiore left and people
stopped going to games. Heilbronn has made so many mistakes with
extending coaches and the worst was the ban that could have been
avoided. but a lot of you guys like him and think hes great so
you get what you get.

One more year means he would have two years to pay out and that
would mean almost $1000000! Didn't geno sue another school when
he left? how could you extend him last year with his record and
you know you don't have nil $? what made you think he would be
good this year? I dont' know. I don't blame the coach.

If I am geno I'm not letting the ad say a word after you just
gave me added time on my contract. hes doing what he can with
what he has right? if you can't give me money for players what
am I supposed to do? leave me alone and let me do my job.
