Is this the same John Powell who is one star 6-7" 190
forward??? I find it hard to belive he can't get a Div1 offer. I
say SBB should jump on him before someone else does!!

I am starting to get a feeling that Pikiell is going to try for
a transfer. With so many guys fighting for playing time next
year, he could afford to have talented transfer sit a year and
be ready to contribute next year.

A transfer would also help balance the classes a bit. We have
more guys going into their Sophomore year next year than we will
have Juniors and Seniors combined. I think Mayo is the only guy
in the program who will be a Jr next year so that class is
really thin.

Just to check on status; Agbeko and Pinkard are committed
elsewhere and officially off the table. No SBU offer yet to
either Powell or Petrasek, as far as I know. No indications of
any transfers in. So, with signing day right around the corner,
does anyone have any idea what Pikiell is cooking up for the
last available scholly?

Petrasek coould be a nice pick up. He is all everything on
Long Island supposedly has a 3 point shot to go with hism
inside game. Also being very local from Northport could be a
fan favorite.

Well, it looks like Petrasek is off the table. Rivals.com now
has him committed to Columbia. Too bad--I think SBU missed out
on a good opportunity here. I'm still wondering what they're
going to do with that last scholly opening. Sure hope Pikiell
has a good one up his sleeve!!

I'm very interested to see where Pikiell goes with this last
scholarship. My bet is with a high major transfer that will have
to sit out a year.
