Figured I would get this started. We have 4 scholarships for
this class with Rouse, Hayes, Brenton, and Bracey all graduating
next year.
It looks like we just got involved with Kahlil Dukes. It's also
been reported that we've offered PG Josh James from Stepinac.

Saw on Twitter earlier today (@TheRecruitScoop), for what it's
worth, that you guys have the following two players on campus
today:
2013 PF Greg Senat (Marianapolis Prep, CT)
2013 PG Keith Williams (Deer Park, NY)

It 's nice to know we have the luxury to recruit players still
in thier junior year of highschool. I still think bigger and
better things are ahead for basketball especially with the new
arena .

Over the weekend Stony Brook target Jaquan Lynch said Stony
Brook was working the hardest on him. Lynch has offers from
Rutgers, Dayton, Drexel.

Hopefully once he sees the new arena it will convince him.

Well, you lose Brenton and Bracey after this year, neither of
whom (despite Brenton's rebounding prowess) are true "bigs", and
then only McAlister after 2014, with Mayo gone after 2015.
You gain Warney this year to replace Carter, but you also add
King (6'9") for next 4 years, and Mayo (also 6'9") for next 3
years.....I think you are good with adding 1 big in the 2013
class. I see you in pretty good shape moving forward up front.
The key to me was redshirting Mayo/King last year. No matter
how good your guards are, you need the horses up front to
rebound. One added benefit may be also that Mayo/Warney are
better shot-blockers than anyone you had last year.

Reported today— "Vermont freshman standout Four McGlynn has
requested a release from the school and will likely seek to
transfer to another institution, according to the Twitter
account of the York Ballers, McGlynn’s former AAU team."
Wonder if Pikiell is interested?

I doubt he would even be allowed to transfer within the AE and
Stony Brook already has more scholarship players than
scholarships.
Something weird is going on over there. To have four transfers
in one year is ridiculous. The fact that one of them was a two
year starter and former DPOY, and the other was the AE ROY makes
it even weirder. They now only have 9 scholarship players
eligible for next year. They better hope that their incoming
freshman can play, and that nobody gets hurt. I think they're in
for a tumultuous season.

6' 2" guard Wesley Myers from Boys and Girls high school in
Brooklyn took an unofficial visit to Stony Brook last week.
Myers has offers Miami and South Carolina. It's great to see him
taking Stony Brook seriously despite having high major suitors.
