How many teams that sb beat are over 500? 1? but I am still
hearing he is a target for other schools and could end up back
in the MAC.

You make a point. After a quick look at the results and some top
of the head arithmetic, the combined record of the teams they
beat is 29-63. Obviously Cosh is miles above Priore but not sure
they’ve made a strong case for an at-large bid.

8 wins is better then 0 wins and he did a good job.

At the end of the day, we were up 30-10 in New Hampshire with 14
minutes left in that game. I just can't get over that.
I think we all would have signed up for 8 wins at the beginning
of the season. Aside from Knopp at QB this is pretty much the
exact same lineup that was 0-10 last year, and our best WR from
last year was kicked off the team before the year even began.
For Cosh to do that with mostly Priore's recruits is worthy of
praise.
I wonder if the human element will benefit us. Maybe the pure
computer mathematics wouldn't favor us, but it would just be a
cool storyline for Cosh to have turned the team around from
winless to playoffs in one year that the panel will be
emotionally vulnerable to rewarding.

a few thoughts...
firstly, is this a good thing? meaning, does it take attention
away from Cosh and mitigate flight risk. really rhetorical.
i think he's actually a very high risk for poaching- it's not
just that ADs these days look for winners- they're looking for
quick turnarounds. that's terrible for us. he'll be at the top
of the list given the rapid 0-10 to 8-3. universities want get
rich quick and are impatient. i hope he stays.
if we miss the berth AND lose cosh, that's the worst of both
worlds. either way, i think he's due for a raise.
the good news is- if he can win here, so can others. we just
need to find them, and now this job becomes much more
attractive. all this is obvious of course. GO SB

I hear a lot and I would say theres a 25% or less chance he is
back next year with a bigger coordinator position at a bigger
school and also a chance as a head coach. I hope they get in. I
think they will.

If rumors are out there then either Cosh or SH have to address
them because it will hurt Recruiting and keeping players from
entering the Portal because of the rumors

So I just reached out to SH about rumors surrounding Cosh so
here is his response
Thanks for your note. Billy is getting a ton of calls which is
understandable given his success here. That’s probably where the
rumors are coming from but he’s still very much here.

I hadn't thought about him leaving for a big OC position, but
that would make sense to me. I don't think he's done enough to
earn a head coaching job that won't be a dead end. If he wants
to run the show, I think he stays.

He might be in the MAC next year with U Mass as hc.

I think he would be a good hire for UMass, but hope Cosh waits
out for a team that has ever had a winning record at the FBS
level (unfair shots fired at UMass, but they've really struggled
since moving FBS)
